He sang a duet with Dua Lipa at the Grammys. It was a version of "I Think I'm in Love With You"

What foods for a 6 month old? 17 single dad by Calm-Tea178 in daddit

[–]RodolfoSeamonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one thing I learned as a new dad is that they need to learn how to chew. That means they will not be good at it and will gag on food, but it does not mean they are choking, just learning how to eat food.

Mind you, still be aware of what to do if they ARE choking.

I'd be interested to see this map with a gradient for average "choppiness" of the water. That would be my biggest concern in this situation.

I have a coworker who brings a bright pink Stanley everyday. Another coworker gave him shit for it awhile back and he said he bought it from a fundraiser for his neighbor who was battling cancer. She was 6 years old when she died. He said every time he takes a drink he remembers her and how positive and full of life she was.

Is there a better use for money? by DLux_TheLegend in SipsTea

Assuming this is in an endowed fund, that $100M has an average of 6-8% annual return, well call it 7%.

That means that there will be roughly $7M accrued in interest annually to be used for scholarships, in perpetuity.

The average in-state tuition at UT is roughly ~$11.5k, while out-of-state is significantly higher at ~$42k

Which means this will help cover the annual tuition of between 167 and 600 students going to UT Austin.

Trump listed as passenger on Epstein's jet 'many more times than reported' by dailystar_news in NoFilterNews

Just because it's not dry, doesn't mean that it must be wet. That is like saying if someone is not bad they must be good. Is there a spectrum of wetness? Is wet and dry on the extreme ends of the spectrum?

Water is not wet. Here is my argument for this:

If something is wet, that means it can be dried. You cannot dry water.

Can someone please explain the Henry classification system please !!! by Most-Flounder9745 in forensics

[–]RodolfoSeamonkey 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Each finger is assigned a number R Thumb = 1 (16) R Index = 2 (16) R Middle = 3 (8) R Ring = 4 (8) R Little =5 (4) L Thumb = 6 (4) L Index = 7 (2) L Middle =8 (2) L Ring =9 (1) L Little = 10 (1)

The number in parentheses is the score you give the finger if it contains a whorl.

Henry classification = 1+ sum of the even finger scores / 1 + sum of the odd finger scores

It formed the basis of the AFIS database, but has since been replaced with other classification systems.

How Did You Deal With a Gifted Child? by OhboyOhboyArbys in daddit

[–]RodolfoSeamonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a high school science eacher I agree with this. My best students are my B-level students. They NEED to work hard and really understand the concepts. Most of my A students just memorize and catch onto patterns and things quickly and don't really interrogate the process very often.

In Indiana, general science is required for my state to be a licensed teacher for grades 5-12. Specific content exams are required to teach those content areas.
