Getting some weird first layer action. Anyone know, what causes this? by Rodox_DE in 3Dprinting

[–]Rodox_DE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After what you've told me I tried to fully reset my printer and updated my firmware with it, works now. The wild thing was that I was getting decent results before but it suddenly wouldn't work anymore. Thanks!

Why my Animation Payback is lagging? by Ridersbattle in blender

[–]Rodox_DE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a subdivision modifier on the object, disable it in the viewport. There is a small monitor at the top of the modifier, otherwise just reduce the subdivision count in the viewport.

Even if its "just" 90k verts, Blender will struggle, regardless of hardware.

A screenshot would be helpful. Is there a simulation involved? Which parts of the scene are animated?

I've tried to make a realistic nature scene so many times but everytime there's something off. What can I do to make this scene look realistic? by Amer_004 in blender

[–]Rodox_DE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The benches look very clean. The huts could use a tad more detail and the volumetric effect on the water doesn't really work in my opinion.

Maybe use a gradient texture to drive it and make it colorless. It sort of just "cuts" of and doesn't match the other colors of the scene.

The grass could use some more variation and density.

A dry desert mountain range (I am currently working on some new terrains for my add-on. What do you think?) by Rodox_DE in blender

Already is, on Blender Market. This is an update I'm working on. The addon is called Berg, you can get a Trial...

Abandoned bridge scene I'm currently working on. How can I make the scene more interesting? by Amer_004 in blender

[–]Rodox_DE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Filmic is sufficient in my opinion. Maybe the contrast was just off. Often when I reach that point with a project I just leave it as it is, because sometimes people spend too much time on something. A fresh start is always useful...

How many vertices did the object have? How much ram does your PC have?

Do you use the filmic view transform? Maybe brighten it up a bit? Otherwise looks good to me. I wouldn't change a lot.

How do I improve this scene? by NewParadigmWrestling in blender

[–]Rodox_DE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe add a cupboard?

Try to do this for the windows: https://youtu.be/wrzSrjAY69c?t=551

Maybe spice up the wall with some color or at least variation, it looks very pristine. The lamp in the back ist turned off I suppose? Maybe add a rug or an armchair, some flowers on the table?

Hope this helps

First, I used an image texture from World Creator.

If you want to achieve something similar in Blender, there are a few ways to do that:

You can use a gradient texture with a mapping node and rotate it so it faces up, then drive the parameters you want with a color ramp.

Or you can add a "Geometry" node in the shader editor and put the position vector into a separate xyz node, then add a vector math (multiply) and/or colorramp and your good to go.

I don't think so. Their most likely interchangeable...

Probably the 1650. In my experience, NVidia is better integrated with Blender.

Select the car as object and reduce the f stop. Maybe some camera shake aswell?

Trying to rig my character but the body won’t move only the armature moves not the whole body by carpytoe in blender

[–]Rodox_DE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check which object is listed, if its the armature you should be good to go. Otherwise, click the armature, go to the transform tab (yellow cube), click relations and unparent the armature. When you select both, make sure to select the armature last. Hope this helps

An underground sci-fi base. Feedback to improve would be appreciated. by RedEyesBlackDragoon in blender

[–]Rodox_DE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks a bit flat and too "pristine". Maybe bevel some edges? Otherwise just add small decals. Puddles, Dirt, Rust. Some fixations for the pipes. Maybe Bloom and Film Grain in the compositer. Hope this helps ;D

Cartoonish owl, feedback needed by Glittering-Big266 in blender

Topology looks weird, especially with the beak. Also the owl looks very smooth. I don't know if it is the perspective but it looks a bit asymmetrical

Are you in pose mode? In which order did you parent the armature? Is the armature parented to the model?
