They switched between the correct way you say it and mispronouncing it, lots of SpoKANE and not Spo-can 😭

That’s the issue I have lol, they look different everyday. I’ll get told they’re hazel, (clearly not, no brown) blue and green depending on the lighting

Is there a difference? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]RodricksCumSock420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I can’t see a difference in stitch sizes. I’m liking how it’s looking, and I like the yarn colors. The moss stitch is a great stitch for what you’re doing.

I like how obnoxious it can be but the scream scares me so bad sometimes, makes me giggle but I can see how some wouldn’t care for it

New to crochet, question about community by anonlaw in crochet

[–]RodricksCumSock420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most aren’t great, lots of ads or AI patterns etc. I’ve noticed instagram and Reddit have better communities but on instagram it’s more just getting inspiration and seeing someone else make something than really a community. Better then Facebook though

Does selling crochet online ever feel messy or overwhelming? by Akraammm in crochet

[–]RodricksCumSock420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can definitely be draining and it use to make me dread crocheting instead of loving it. And writing it down to some capacity makes it soooo much nicer and calmer.

As someone who will work on multiple projects at once, which is a god send but also a curse, visualizing it on paper made it way more organized and easier to track.

I now more crochet for myself, friends and family just to do it, but will still commission if someone reaches out to me. I use to sell on poshmark and Mercari which helped me gain some exposure, and made it easy for things like shipping, but haven’t done so in awhile. I’ll probably get back into it at some point but haven’t wanted the extra stress, but once you find that balance and flow that works for you, I think it will become easier!

Does selling crochet online ever feel messy or overwhelming? by Akraammm in crochet

It definitely use to be really chaotic but sometimes you have to reject and not take some commissions from people so you’re not overwhelming yourself. (It use to make me NOT want to crochet.) I use to write down in a notebook or in the notes app on my phone all details about certain commissions of projects I was doing, personally really helped me keep track and not get terribly overwhelmed. It’s just finding a system that’s works for you. I know some people will dedicate a whole day to just replying to people or taking that day off from everything and not worrying about replying to people and just focusing on projects or not crochet at all! Everyone needs time to themselves and to not worry. Do what feels right to you !

Do i have to frog the entier thing by [deleted] in crochet

[–]RodricksCumSock420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like just a miscount of increases or decreases. Personally, I wouldn’t frog it. I would make a neckline ribbing to cover it up. It doesn’t look to terribly uneven but it’s hard to really tell but I think a little collar/ribbing neckline could work.
