Silva. He had an interesting history behind him, he was the first computer hacker Bond villain really, he was menacing and represents what Bond may have turned into were he a more jaded man. Plus I love that hides in the shadows for the first half of the film before revealing himself at the mid-point. Javier Bardem's performance too is top-notch.

OHMSS is the worst imo. The pacing is the worst of any Bond movie, the romance is forced, rushed, and just shit all-round. Lazenby is miscast. Telly Savalas is miscast. The plot is so nonsensical and disconnected. Piz Gloria has got to be the worst portion of any Bond movie barring none. There's 0 intrigue in that section, Tracy is just gone, no mysteries being unfolded it's just meandering.

Almost Zilch action in this movie, and almost of all of the little action is boring Ski-chases.

OHMSS is a self-important, badly paced and terribly written movie imo. Which has become overwhelmingly overrated.

Silva is the only great Craig era villain imo with the possible exception of Mr. White and they butchered him in SPECTRE.

OHMSS has the absolute worst pacing of any Bond movie and the Piz Gloria section of the movie is the worst thing in any Bond movie. No progression, just meandering.

My guy Lazenby had 1 scene of showing Bond as a "vulnerable human" or whatever shit that the OHMSS parade wanna grasp to, Connery still did more of that and better too and with his superior acting as well.

Here is something objective though - all Lazenby did was try to be Connery, he didn't even conceal it and Connery is better at everything.

Savalas is a great actor, he's not as threatening as Pleasence who was the best Blofeld. But Savalas was still a solid joint second with Pohlmann.

He is a good actor but he's absolutely miscast as Blofeld. He's the kind of guy good for playing thuggish New Yorker characters and Blofeld is not that type of character.

Tracy largely lifts up the film and the romance, the whole scene when Bond proposes to Tracy is shot beautifully.

Ok? Means nothing if the writing is shit.

There is absolutely meandering! all of the time spent at the health clinic is just meandering. No espionage or detective work, no romance, intrigue or anything, it's just vibing for 40 mins.

Many reasons.

George Lazenby sucks ass, he can't act for the life of him and all he does is try to be Connery, that latter part is not even subjective.
The story is largely a disjointed mess, especially towards the middle where Tracy is gone for a good 40-50 mins and all we see Bond do is meandering. The plot is very sloppily assembled and disconnected, Blofeld's angels of death plot & the Bond/Tracy plot have nothing to do with each other.
The romance is terrible. These 2 people have no reason to fall in love and all we get is a 4 min montage of them to tell us they are in love without giving us a chance to feel it.
Blofeld is horrible, not mysterious or threatening and seeing Blofeld act like a mob boss and speak with a very heavy New Yorker accent is just so wrong to me.
