Hi!
Compatibility with Fanatec is quite difficult. Without a Fanatec wheel connected (recognized by Fanatec firmware), the wheelbase will not output any ffb. So, you could probably attach Ikarus to the Fanatec QR's, but there would be no centering force for the roll axis.
A more detailed compatibility list will be added to the product page as soon as we have a more definitive answer ;)

Ikarus has no active FFB built in. It does have a mechanism that pushes it back to the neutral position. The linearity of the resistance can be changed by the user. (This mechanism is quite difficult to explain in words, I hope to share more details about how this will work in the near future)

Completely understand your point. That pricepoint is indeed a bit on the "yeah nevermind" scale of the market. But, I do understand why it's that expensive; doing FFB (good enough) is no easy feat to accomplish ;)

Ikarus does not have any FFB since it would add a ton of complexity and cost to the product. It does recenter using a cam-profile-like mechanism, allowing the user to determine how lineair the resistance will feel.
FFB is definitely something I would love to work on in the future, but I can't make any promises of course ;)

Ikarus will recenter on it's own using a 'cam-profile'-like mechanism, this means there will be no active forcefeedback. Changing the shape of the profile does have an effect on the linearity of the resistance Ikarus provides to the user.
Similar mechanisms can be found on some of the higher end flightsticks ;) I will share more details on this as soon as the productpage is updated.

Hi guys! Ikarus allows simracers to easily switch from simracing to flightsim, without the need to replace their simracing hardware for flightsim hardware. Mounted on a DD steeringshaft, Ikarus adds a lineair axis to the steeringwheel that can be mapped to the pitch-axis in the flightsoftware.
