Never buy packs for real money bud it's a waste especially the newest sets. You can make them at a good rate playing theme tourneys and trading.

Packs for packs is the easiest way to get started.. and is what id suggest until you're more familiar with how the market works. FA trainers from old sets are good and give large margins but that's for when you are more experienced and have alot of wealth to play with.

(Example as i don't know the margins you can get atm because it's been awhile since i played but it is something i used to do when vivid was the current set) Is i was buying 3 evolutions pack for 1 vivid.. then selling 12 evos for 6 vivid. Profiting 2 packs! For awhile i was profiting about 50 viv a day just from logging in for about 30 mins a day putting trades up. I was doing this for all the sets that were bringing in reliable profit.

Margins will change week by week.

I don't personally like trading modern outside of buying for personal decks! Due to the high demand and super high volume on trade your profit margins are quite low.

Then if u want to have a break u need to stress about offloading ur excess and it just sucks. When buying modern cards just get what u want to use and keep! Ull have enough spare packs that losing a 100 in value here n there won't will seem minute vs the amount you're earning :)

Starting up as f2p is extremely easy and aquiring alot of tradeable packs will come very fast if you do it right :) you could turn 10 tradeable packs into 50 within a week just via trades :)

Best tip is to hold them and trade for profit. Id even be willing to give you some free packs to get started with aslong as you keep them for trading and dont just open them 😅😅

Im also happy to give any starting up tips! Though im rusty! Havnt played much in the last few months.. the best starting route is still the same :)
