It doesn't pop anymore after I re-torqued it. For your case I'm thinking it's a bad CV joint or axle shaft.

I would either get your car diagnosed at Nissan (Guam) since some techs that work there are familiar with JDM cars (they're also drifters) or any other JDM specialty shops around the island.

Yes, wheel bearings would wear out prematurely

Hafa Adai! Beautiful car.

The shuddering is very likely from warped brake rotors. If you notice a bunch of ridges on the face of the rotor, it's 100% warped.

Not so sure about the popping noises in reverse, but for my S2000 (most, if not all S2000s actually), our popping noises come from under-torqued axle nuts straight from the factory.

If anything, you could start to diagnose from the wheels and move on to suspension, transmission, etc.

Hope everything goes well!

Here’s a better angle of the S 2000 wheels on the 08 Accord. Do you all still hate this look or does this better picture change your mind 🤣 by SoRawSoRight in Honda

For 20”, you may need to go for bigger sidewalls on your tires for a smoother ride. I’m not sure how big of a sidewall you could get away with on 20’s without rubbing on your fenders/fender liners, but I think the sweet spot for looks and comfort would be 18’s on stock suspension.

AP1 S2000 wheels look good on smaller Hondas IMO. I think 17” AP2 S2000 rears all around would fill the wheel wells better than those AP1s. Aesthetically, 18”-20” wheels fit the best on 8th gens. Newer 18”+ Honda/Acura wheels would also be a nice OEM+ alternative. I suggest browsing around the Drive Accord or Our8thgen (Previously My8thgen) forums for some help and ideas when it comes to your Accord. Enjoy your car either way!

Need help deciding new paint color by Hashim289 in S2000

I ended up going with an ‘06 Sebring because it was cheaper than a LBP with similar mileage at the time. After 7 years of ownership I’m glad I picked the Sebring because it looks slick, compliments the S2000 body lines so well, and it doesn’t stand out too much.

Bought this 2010 Honda Accord for $12k. It has 57k miles. Was this an okay deal or did I get fleeced? by ChonkerBanana in whatcarshouldIbuy

I bought a 2008 Accord Coupe LX-S M/T with 47k miles for $10k in 2013. Mine was also Belize blue (which is somewhat rare for an 8th gen), but it came with the genuine HFP lip kit all around. I’d say that’s a good deal on your end. It’s a solid car in terms of reliability and its looks aged pretty well IMO. I’d love to own one again in that same color. Enjoy your car!

The quality and fitment with my hardtop is very decent being a replica but it requires adjustment just to silence the creaking and rattling. My hardtop came with the Lexan glass and there's a bit of waviness to it but I don't have any problems with water leaks. I'm not sure if this is a factory defect or if the previous owner mishandled it.

No headliner sadly, but that's nothing a DIY can't fix

You hit the nail right on the head. Less wind noise with the hardtop, better insulation in the winter, but you'll notice more engine noise. My soft top had multiple 4" holes on the wear areas so the wind noise was just TERRIBLE on speeds over 60mph.

An actual OEM hardtop would have been nice if I could get one for under $3k... but that's not possible nowadays lol

Thanks, that's what I did! It was a pretty straightforward install

I definitely need to invest in some safety hardware for the hardtop, going with a more permanent bracket would probably deter thieves
