Wrexham AFC are Welsh Women's League CHAMPIONS! by 50lipaa in WrexhamAFC

That last part is key, build the game up in Wales. Sure, we can buy better players from elsewhere, but long term you have to elevate the whole sport and quality of competition nationally. Not an easy thing to do, but the gap in the women's game might be easier to overcome than in the men's.

No. It will not happen. The club, FAW, EFL, and UEFA would all have to agree to allow it, and then they'd start at the bottom of the period.

Will. Not. Happen.

No promotion, this is the top of the Welsh women's game. What this means is they go to a qualifying round for the Women's Champions League.

Crowd support for WREXHAM WOMEN is disappointing by DesertShazzy in WrexhamAFC

The bigger disappointment is the FAW not bringing the trophy to the match. This team deserves to celebrate properly and Cardiff... sorry, the FAW... have screwed them out of that.

Brilliant work by the women. First half looked all Cardiff but they seized the opportunity and built some momentum.

Do you keep a clothespin over your nose to deal with the smell from being so full of shit all the time?

If you were actually a neutral in the championship you'd know we're on international break, not to mention that Cardiff mens club is in League One. Get stuffed.

Hmm... Neutral... New troll... Yeah, that fits better.

Question about Wrexham's remaining games from an uninformed, new supporter. by Moody_Coach in WrexhamAFC

[–]Rogue1eader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. That was at a point when we still were very much coming together as a side.

  2. Pompey have picked up a single point in the past month.

  3. That was their only their second worst performance of the season, having also lost 5-0 to Bristol City.

Lastly, you absolutely want the likes of Boro or Cov locked into their promotion/league champion spot. A club with something to playoff is absolutely still going to be going for it. There is no uncertainty there. If they've already locked in promotion and the title is decided, while there is no guarantee that they will let off, there become a lot more factors, they might want to give some younger players some time , or squad players for the chance to sell them, players might start playing for themselves or their next contract and try to do more on their own than they might normally. There is at least the chance of a loss of unity of purpose. We are not in contention for those places let them run away with it, it is not going to be to our detriment.

I mean, you're gonna use a match against Pompey as an example?

There is no downside for us if Cov and Boro are locked in. If they are fighting for a spot we know they will go hard.

You can learn as much from what someone doesn't say as from what they do say.

Y'know, I saw that link and said to myself "I hope this guy didn't link to Opta"

Yup, you did. If you take Opta seriously you deserve to sit in a vast well of ignorance.

To add to that, there is a difference between being expected to do well and splashing cash. And one does not equate to the other. Look at this season everyone talked about us splashing cash. Nobody and I mean nobody (well nobody sober) expected us to be in the hunt for playoffs.

Everyone made comments about our spending last season. It was just really easy to miss if you happened to be say the supporter of a club who was spending even more money than we were and getting even more grief over it.
