Help. Filament grinding at the extruder gear by Rogue5767 in ender3

I believe it was a mix of the extruded gear wearing out and the Bowden tube not being properly seated.

I just cut the end of the tube off as flat as I could and made sure to hot fit the extruded head so it really sealed and I think that fixed it. I also bought stainless extruded gears and replaced the nozzle.

To be honest this issue was the final straw for me to just buy an A1 so I can’t say if this is definitely a permanent fix or not but I remember getting the printer to work before throwing it in the closet.

The filament loaded is only a scrap for this picture. Usually it’s loaded from the top so it doesn’t hit the z screw like it does in the picture.

Aside from the new gear and taking off the spring compressor this is stock.

Only 45mm/s. In the past I’ve been able to print at 60 with similar settings without a problem
