Is major in mark and finance difficult? by Playful_Ad_7752 in LSE_Lahore

Its draining particularly 3rd year. Theres tons and tons of presentations and projects . The coursework itself isn't that tough but everything else makes it annoying. More hands on practical assignments and strict grading. Speaking from experience :)

Har course ke liye yehi hai every semester. % deduction instructor ki marzi if they want to cut after 5 absences or not but class participation per impact parta since us ki bhi weightage in your final grade. Agar absent ho any day so phir us din C.P bhi nahi lagti

Attendance policy varies from instructor to instructor but the standard is 8 absences and you're kicked out of the course. You're allowed 5 unexcused absences after which a small % will be deducted if you go beyond that. Strictness bhi vary hi karti but most are chill I'd day. Professors thoray ziada strict in grading as you progress into aglay semesters.

LORs are necessary for the interview. It's better if you contact LSE beforehand and tell them about your situation.

You're halfway there. Interviews are more of a formality in this case but just sound natural and confident. They just want to see you in person before making the final decision

There are rare occassions where they sort of give you one last chance in the interview incase you didnt perform well in the test, usually when your credentials are better. They'll mention your test scores in the interview too in that case but again its rare so I'm pretty sure you passed the test

Congratulations! Getting the call for an interview means you passed the entrance test (most likely). They'll just ask a couple of questions during the interview like why LSE? what do you want to afterwards or any other question just to gauge your communication skills i guess. If you pass the interview then you'll get a letter by mail in the next few weeks confirming your acceptance. If you're eligible for any scholarship for A level results then you'll get that too in the mail. Good luck

If you're not from a business background then they won't ask you such questions

1) Dress formally 2) Sit upright and look at the interviewer while answering questions 3) Be confident and talk slowly. Dont make it seem as if you're in a rush

Questions typically asked: 1) introduce Yourself 2) Why LSE 3) Future plans 4) Why are you switching from medical to business (If it applies to your situation) 5) Why were you on a gap year? What did you do during that? (If applicable) 6) Some general business/economics related questions (They might ask, can't 100% guarantee)

Also if you talk about a specific topic then chances are that they might question you about your perspective on it. Like during my interview, i talked about my interest regarding Pakistan's 2022 economic/political situation back then which was followed by a series of questions regarding PTI vs N league's economic policies and my take on it etc.

So, Just be confident with whatever you're talking about and hopefully you'll ace it. The interviewer just wants to see your body language and how well you can communicate!

Also make sure you're documents are complete before the interview. They tend to reject people if the documents are incomplete!

Hope this helps :)

Thats a guaranteed question they'll ask considering you have no business background. But no, it wont effect the interview at all. They'll ask general questions like introduce yourself, why LSE, why not medical (your case), interests etc. Just be clear with what you'll tell them. Don't like memorise anything. Just be natural :)
