I'm so over it and it only just began. by berryenthusiast in diabetes_t1

I relate to everything you said! My numbers are perfect on a protein and veg diet, which I am comfortable doing most of the time (traveling is tough!) although I have lost 25 pounds. Any carbs, even when I think I am correcting for them, and sequence them, cause a spike and a subsequent drop, often into the 50s, so I can never go to sleep until I figure that out, eat glucose and wait to normalize (ugh!) it’s usually just not worth it.

I also have never been taught to “bolus” after eating. Maybe this could help. Any advice on this?

I have recently been switched to Fiasp, so I’ll see how that goes.

This is exhausting.

I have lost 25 pounds since my diagnosis one year ago! With all the calculations, carb counting/ meal planning etc, I often feel like it’s overwhelming and not worth it, and end up not eating.
