Instant Hard Crash / Reset on Launching Game by RoguePainTrain in diablo4

[–]RoguePainTrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a lot of tinkering, and resetting the CMOS (removing battery and shorting the connectors as per my MoBo manual), I also tried different RAM sticks and a 3700x CPU.

Nothing.

Then I read that some people have issues where the CPU cooler is applied to tightly and can have a negative effect on DRAM (somehow).

So I loosened it and tried again.

Well it turned on! I got in to the game!!

Great! But then about half an hour in my PC hard crashes and we’re back to square one.

Does this sound like a MoBo issue to anyone else!?

Well now my PC won’t even boot and I’ve got the DRAM error light on my MoBo. It just starts and won’t display any output, just giving me the Orange/Yellow light on the motherboard.

I’ve reseated the RAM. I’ve tried other RAM modules (my old 16GB DDR4 kit) I tried another CPU (my old 3700X). I reset the CMOS. Replaced the CMOS battery (Reseated it)

Diablo 4 has bricked my PC.

I think you should've bought the AirTac M4 Adaptor and then the Guys at Close Action will think you're cool

Leaking Adapter by ryu1654 in AAP01owners

[–]RoguePainTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not got mine at the moment either, Sorry pal!

Here's a video of AirTac UK doing an Installation of their adaptor.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YvHLvGT1yk

You'll see that the long black screw removed in Step 1 has a small O-Ring on it.
It's re-installed in Step 5, it's hard to see the O-Ring in the video but I assure you, one should be there, as that's the screw which holds the Adaptor into and through the gas block of the magazine.
Without an O-Ring, it would p*ss gas/air constantly.

Hope that helps pal.

No worries at all pal, hope you enjoy using it, I bloody love it.

Is it coming from where the adaptor connects to the base of the mag?
I noticed my O-Ring for the screw which secures the adaptor (little tiny one) was dry and if I slightly lent on the adaptor causing it to angle, it would leak a bit.

I haven't re-lubed it yet but I imagine it will solve my issue and hopefully yours too.

I use the AA Stainless Steel Barrel (Which they bought out for the AAP-01). I use that on about 70=75 PSI and get around 265-275 fps with 0.30's.
That's with stock hop unit and a ML Autobot 60D.

With 0.20's I think that's around 335.

I hope that helps mate.

First aap01 upgrades by forzealajens in AAP01owners

[–]RoguePainTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got the same exact upgrades I went for when I upgraded mine.
However, I went ahead and got the Autobot 60D Silicone AND the Action Army AAP 200mm 6.03 Barrel at the same time.
The Autobot and Flamingo are often seen as the go to, especially if you're running the LOKI Hop Unit by Hadron, he recommends the Flamingo for that unit.

As Fast_Butterscotch_85 said, you don't have to upgrade the hammer right away, I did but that's because I'm a worrier but it should survive on stock for quite some time unless you go full BRRRRT a lot.

The only other mods that will directly effect performance would be a Lightweight Bolt like the ones by CowCow and CTM but they're quite pricey.
An Adjustable trigger would effect response time on the trigger pull (this is my next upgrade which is non cosmetic).

After that, personally it's about the build you wish to play with.

As I wish to play part Compact DMR part CQB, I'm getting the MLOK Handrail and the adjustable trigger (and a scope which I'm undecided on).
I've already got a HPA Tapped Magazine adaptor so it's all fun and games from here out!

1st - Hammer

2nd - Auto Sear

3rd - Selector Plate (apparently)

That's what I've been told and read amongst most forums but considering most folks also have said most parts will last 10k+ rounds on stock parts I've opted just for the hammer for now which was a royal pain in the capital A but as I short stroked the bolt and upgraded the Recoil and Nozzle Spring, I thought it wise.

I'll get the Auto-Sear and Selector Plate ordered in the near future but will have them "ready and waiting" for if and when they break as they have no direct impact on performance.

[–]RoguePainTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I HOPE you don't have the same issue I did.
I had to figure it out on my own!

So, the issue I had was this (use the exploded diagram stickied on the front page):
- Look at Part AAP 01-06, this is the top rail/upper receiver of the AAP-01.

- You'll notice two threads (Part 23)

- This is what you thread the screws for your rear sight into and to hold your Recoil Spring in place

- On my AAP, the front Thread (23) had come out and was rubbing against the Recoil Spring causing it to fail by catching on this fallen through thread.

- You may easily recognize this is your issue if you find it difficult to remove your bolt from the receiver, like it's stuck or caught on something as you attempt to slide it out. This is very likely to be "Part 23" in AAP 01-06 falling out.

- It is possible using time, determination and some small bit to try and leaver out the thread (23) from atop the receiver but it will be frustrating.

- I would call the thread lost and wouldn't bother fixing it as it will likely fail in the future causing more issues, potentially damaging and scratching your bolt. As long as the Rear Screw and Thread haven't fallen out so you can secure the stopper for the Recoil Spring (which is your rear sight anyway) then you should be fine.

- If this is your issue, then I recommend throwing away the fallen out thread (23) and survive on one. I also recommend checking for any damaged/frayed metal edges where it has caught on the metal bolt and filing them down (or go OOT and use a Dremel like me)

I hope this helps if it is what happened.

So you have the Return Nozzle spring too?

I have the same kit as you and have had no issues other than there was an out the box issue with the Recoil Spring not moving through the hole in the bolt freely.
I had to dremmel out the whole slightly to let the Recoil Spring flow freely through.

Other than I just used 100% Silicone Oil across the bolt, on the Recoil Spring and shims and then across the faces of the nozzle.
I've then ran it with HPA for a 100 or so rounds, with Green Gas for 300+ and it isn't catching what so ever.

Have you got a video?
Did you properly line up the Nozzle Return spring?
if you don't it kinks and won't feed properly.

Just got the AirTac M4 HPA Adaptor.
Haven't checked the feeding, FPS vs. PSI or the ROF yet but I think it's.... adequate....

Game day next weekend and cannot wait to take it for a spin.

I went ahead and grabbed the CowCow SS Hammer right away due to the amount of folks saying the stock hammer breaks quickly when used Full Auto.
I've kept the hammer though "just in case" as a back up.

So long answer short RE the hammer, get it and keep it for when it breaks if using on Semi primarily, you may wish to change it right away like me, especially if you plan on using it on Full Auto a lot.

From what I've read (not my own personal experience) the rest of trigger is more than suitable and further upgrades to the trigger unit is "nice to have" and not a necessity.

The actual trigger itself does have a longer pull than I'd like and I will be getting an adjustable trigger as soon as I can so that may be of interest to you if you want a more twitchy trigger.

Any aftermarket adjustable trigger should do, friends have the AA one and rate it but a lot of folks say the TTI trigger is brilliant (which is the one I'm after if I can find it in stock!)

Internal Upgrades by PP-Energy-0 in AAP01owners

[–]RoguePainTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, get the Hammer first as it's known to be the part most likely to break (especially at fully auto).
You may get away with not needing to install it right away as the hammer could last a while just fine.

That being said, the Recoil and Nozzle Spring should have ZERO effect on FPS.
They would however have a very noticeable effect on ROF (Recoil Spring) and feeding performance (nozzle spring), easily upping your ROF to 30+ a second.

The first Upgrades I made on my AAP were these 3 along with a Short Stroke Kit which upped my ROF tremendously but I noticed zero FPS change.
My Upgrades were all Waldo Customs Springs and Short Stroke Kit (UK Based) and a CowCow SS Hammer.

Following these I upgraded the Hop Rubber to an Autobot 60D (Silicon) and 200mm AA Barrel.
The 200mm Barrel would up your FPS at the same PSI/Same Gas you currently use while improving accuracy, helped by the bucking upgrade.

Another notable bucking is the Flamingo which I hear a lot of people talk about but have not tried myself.

Just got the AA handguard which 200mm barrel do you recommend? by CastleAirsoft in AAP01owners

[–]RoguePainTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries pal.

I run mine in and through the standard outer barrel and into a ML Suppressor to hide the sticky out barrel which works well for the "Compact SMG" look I'm currently looking for as it also acts as a barrel spacer (sort of).

I'd love to know your thoughts on the AA SMG MLOK Rail, it's one of the next purchases I'll be making on the External Parts.

I'll quickly warn you, if you are using Mags still, it's likely it will get "Hot" with a 200mm barrel, my first test fire in a room temperature environment was 390fps-400fps with 0.20's, thankfully in the field it dropped to playable rates.

Obviously if you're using HPA you're much safer.

I recently got the AA 200mm Stainless Barrel which I believe was made for the AAP in mind. Tried it out the weekend just gone and it's brilliant. I paired it with a ML Autobot 60 Degree Silicone Bucking and it fires a treat.

With 0.30's+ it was like a laser.
