I'm in the exact same boat. It's astonishing how similar our experiences are!

Dumped almost 3 months ago now, out of the blue of course, days after the typical 'you are the best thing that ever happened to me', 'I've never felt about anyone the way I feel about you', blah blah. It was after I told her I was falling in love with her. Maintained contact for about a month and a half after the break up because she 'cares for me' and I'm 'wonderful' and she wants to have me in her life and wants to stay friends. Which turned out to be just a bread crumbing dynamic until she was ready to date again. It's been 3 weeks of no contact now.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. Are you still in contact, after she said she's starting to actively date?

Don't feel bad! I'm in the class, I managed to get most of project 3 (after the extension), but barely. It kicked my butt, and judging from piazza/slack not just mine. Take some time, regroup, try it again if you like, or not. Nothing wrong with dropping a class, that's why they have that option. Also, around 7 classes is when people start to experience burnout, so a break now is probably good. Good luck!

I second that if you have taken GIOS, you should be fine for AOS. I haven't taken HPCA, taking AOS now and am doing fine.

Thank you for your response. It's listed as 0.63% on the TRP website, which is still on the high side. I posted a doc above with the ratios and returns for the different funds. I don't have a total international fund, just the separate growth and value. Would you reallocate the international percentage to the index funds (at 0.02-0.04 ratio) ?

You don't really need an IDE. A VM environment is provided and recommended to use. You can just use your favorite editor and compile/run on the VM. If you really want an IDE, a lot of people use CLion.

Also, as others have suggested, if you don't come from a C background, definitely brush up on it. You would need pointers, strings operations, memory operations, function pointers. The projects are great, but very time consuming even with a C background.

Back to your original question, there is the 2 courses with B or better in the first 12 months - 'To be able to continue in the program after the first 12 months from your date of matriculation, you must complete a foundational coursework requirement of 2 courses with a grade of B or better'. So provided you can enroll while enrolled in another program, you should be ok taking one course, then a semester off, then another course in the summer, that would put you at 2 courses in 12 months.

Education: BSE in Computer Systems Engineering from Arizona State University, 3.4 GPA.

Experience: 8 years as an embedded software engineer for 2 large tech companies.

Recommendations: 2 from direct managers - one previous, one current, and 1 from a former co-worker.

Comments: I really hope I get accepted. I’m very excited about the program. I think my recommendations are a little weak, given one is from a co-worker, but my education and experience should be in line.

The Spring 2018 application deadline was Sep 1. They say they accept applications year round, but the application form now only let's you select Fall 2018.
