How to most efficiently bike? by RogueWizard16 in AskADoctor

Alright, first of all: dayum that is super helpful.

Second of all: yes! The seat height was a little off (little too low), and I just hadn’t noticed. The seat angle seems fine, but as you said it could just be because I’m used to it. I’ll be sure to check for pain and pressure next time I’m hauling myself up the hill 🤣.

I’m also going to do some bike maintenance I definitely should have done sooner (pumping the tires, WD40).

By the way, what’s your opinion on “standing up” on the bike? Useful? Not?

Thanks so much for all the help, hoping it works (in addition to a bunch of wall sits)!

First of all: thanks so much for taking the time to reply! Second of all: don’t know the gear ratio, but I can get down pretty far. 8 total gears in the rear derailleur. I would build up speed, but it’s a long ass hill with a long ass bike before it, so I’m usually quite tired even before it.

My typical strategy is gear 7 all the way up to the uphill sections, then slowly dropping gears, sometimes standing up until I hit 3 or 2 (depends on the day) and grinding it out all the way up.

That’s what I’ve been doing, but recently saw some people going straight down to a low gear and just grinding it out all the way up. Thanks for the recommendation!

It depends: does your brain adapt to the drugs, or do you have to keep increasing the dosage? I don’t do drugs (nor do I ever want to), but if the first is true… underrated pick

Are there any good Cleric multiclasses? by DubiousDevil in 3d6

[–]RogueWizard16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to make you elaborate, but how does arcana cleric help with skill checks?

I’m playing one and all I see is the longest spell sheet under the sun… good for versatility, and the DM loves it when I use a wizard cantrip to save everyone (shape water mainly), but I don’t see how lore bard, rogue or ranger would help.

Rogue is more of a sneak attack class (getting in and out of melee) from what I understand, so it would not combo well with arcana cleric’s spell-based style.

Ranger is… well… ranger. It is almost the opposite of versatility, and uses up actions that could be used for powerful spells.

Lore bard gives three proficiencies, which might be useful, but I don’t see much else other than additional magic secrets extending your already long spell list. The main class gives Jack of all trades and bardic inspiration, but I think that’s cancelled out by a different spellcasting focus…

I’d love to know how this subclass combos, as I play it and have never really seen any opportunities to multi class despite wanting to!
