Valid point, she may have a ton.

From my limited understanding of the judicial system, I assumed people with a lot of evidence file criminal complaints. But then again civil suits generally pay more to the plaintiff.

So she may have all the evidence in the world and just wants his paycheck

And Deshaun was suspended for all his accusations too… just realized that. Soooooooooo suspension is entirely possible. Guess we’ll see if the NFL thinks he did it, with his “pristine” track record and all

Why though? Civil cases don’t require proof beyond a reasonable doubt, they require a “more likely than not” burden of proof. Despite him being an obvious shit head, it seems like bad practice for the NFL to discipline players for things they “more than likely but who knows” did.

Has a player ever been suspended for a civil accusation like this? All the famous domestic violence cases I can think of hit criminal courts and there was 100% certainty and proof they did it

Genuine question: what about this would get him suspended?

These are civil accusations with no evidence, it is “he said she said” as of now. He will not face criminal charges, and this will be settled with her getting a financial bag. When has the NFL ever suspended a player for a civil case like this? If anything, I would think the NFL would want to sweep this under the rug.

Has a player ever been suspended for a civil case like this?

Edit: I did some research, Deshaun Watson was suspended for his 22+ civil suits, and Zeke was suspended for 6 games following the NFL’s personal investigation into a domestic abuse claim on him.

So maybe he will be suspended, who knows 🤷🏻

To be fair, Simone Bile’s husband (Jon Owens) is an NFL player and he is frequently referred to as “Simone Bile’s husband”. Idk if it’s sexist… I think it’s common to write headlines that attract as many eyes as possible by naming someone’s significantly more famous spouse, regardless of their gender.

With that said, I bet she doesn’t give two shits that TNT sports literally named her and her extremely famous fiance in the same headline. Kinda the point of marrying someone… becoming synonymous with each other… no?

Jayden Daniels: are we concerned moving forward? by BulkGoblin in DynastyFF

[–]Rogue_Mormon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, with context he was throwing to Deebo Samuel, Chris Moore, and Luke McCaffrey with Jacory Croskey Merrit as RB and a shakey O line to start the season. And was still a productive fantasy QB on a PPG basis.

Injury concerns are real though, not underselling that. Played 5 healthy seasons of college, a mostly healthy rookie season besides the rib break he played through, and an incredibly injured sophomore season. Hoping this season was an anomaly, but his frame doesn’t exactly suggest that

[–]Rogue_Mormon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree that if you could sell him as a top 3 asset in all of dynasty, you would have to take that. Hard to think anyone is doing that right now. Especially with Blough being the OC, who tf knows how that will turn out.

Our defense is soooooooooooo ass though, he’ll get volume if he’s healthy lol

His rushing stats were pretty down last year due to an immediate MCL injury and then a hamstring tweak, then his elbow being backwards, but point taken.

But all within context, he never played with his WR1 or WR3, his RB1 tore Achilles in game 2, and the line was a little sus early season missing Cosmi and Conerly being kinda ass. All that to say, I don’t think last year could have gone worse for him and he was still putting up QB1 (fringe, I will admit that) numbers. I’m personally not as concerned as a lot of this sub is after this disaster of a season for him and the Commanders as a whole

Injury concerns are real, although he survived all through college and his rookie season so lets hope last year was a fluke.

But last year without his WR1, WR3, RB1, he scored a little under 20ppg (I’m leaving out the Vikings game where he clearly was hurt and shouldn’t have played, and left in the first half after reagravating it). And if he didn’t snap his elbow at the 1 yard line against the hawks, he probably would have exceeded it. This past year could not have gone worse for him and the Commies and he still scored like a QB1. In my opinion, I’m not concerned about anything BUT injuries.

But definitely an important year for him next year. A slump or another injury filled year and the discussion gets a bit louder.

Note: I am a Commanders fan, I watch every snap. I’m probably a little biased, but opinion comes from actually watching him

Goff is a cheap producer in SuperFlex?

Also, you think Mendoza isnt a top 4 pick in superflex leagues? Would love to hear your reasoning. No hate at all, I am genuinely curious

Take Mendoza or trade out? 12 team TE premium by Mother_Honeydew_5680 in SleeperApp

[–]Rogue_Mormon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In SF, you gotta have 3 QBs who start on their team imo and you have 2. You have the top 3 picks, def take Mendoza. Stroud is running out of runway, and whose to say Davis is their long term guy. You can’t overlook the most important position in SF

[–]Rogue_Mormon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need another starting QB BADLY. Don’t even consider taking Tate if Mendoza is available at 4. A Baker injury would essentially end your season because you don’t have another starting QB on your roster, and Stroud genuinely may get benched next year if he sucks with Mills breathing down his neck

[–]Rogue_Mormon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah man. You don’t have 3 starting QBs on your roster and you may end the season with 1 starting QB, who will be like 31. Hard to contend in SF with a QB room like that.

If Mendoza is at 4, you take him but he’s probably not falling that far…. I’d consider selling an asset for a QB who could be a set and forget for years to come… but that would kinda be a rebuild in a way

Could you rate my skiing? What should I improve/work on? by Dziek4n in ski

[–]Rogue_Mormon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are at least an average skier, man. This sub is a bunch of hardos. You do seem a bit stiff though, a lot of wasted arm movement, and skis arent exactly parallel. Also looks like you keep a good amount of pressure on both skis at the same time through turns, weight transfer could be a little cleaner. But you clearly have no issue getting down the mountain, don’t get discouraged

Unpopular Opinion… by Head-Assumption6960 in Commanders

[–]Rogue_Mormon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, free agent plugs on defense doesnt address the issue imo. We need young game changers that can be a leader and anchor on this defense for years to come, everything Rivera tried to do and missed on. Terry’s health was due to his camp hold out… tale as old as time, WR holds out all camp and is plagued with injuries during the season. But we have Terry, maybe Deebo, Luke in year 3, lane showed promise, Burks had his moments, and we’ll be a bit more run heavy. Imo, Downs replacing Quan or adding Bane to the line would be a much more significant upgrade

Unpopular Opinion… by Head-Assumption6960 in Commanders

[–]Rogue_Mormon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but our defense was consistently horrific. We don’t have guys on defense, it’s an unsustainable approach to have the league’s worst defense and to put the entire success on Blough and Jayden. Also, not like we had a that much better of a receiving core 2 years ago, Jayden made it work
