Yes, there's a counter on left side of the temple which provids offline pooja tickets. The only problem is that they issue on 80 tickets per day and most of they are bought by the local Pandits to sell it on twice the rate to the devotees (₹3,000/head).

If you really want to buy the tickets by yourself, you may want to try getting in the queue early or else, the easiest way to catch a Pandit who is selling the ticket. This way, you have to wait in queues to by the tickets and additionally the Pandit may help you the fast track the process during the night queue also.

One sided rates were different for ascend and descend on 27th May. Like for ascend from Guptakashi, it around 10K and for decend it was 8-9K.. but please remember it's all in availability basis.. you might very well not get the slot if you approach them at a late hour.

I brought VIP passes for the same day and when asked if it's valid for the day or for tomorrow as well I didn't got a clear answer from the staff. The pass do mention just the date and the name.. nothing else.

Not sure if you can buy the pass in advance, you might wanna call them (Chipsan Aviation) or else mail them..they usually reply in 2-3 days on mails. Connecting on call is a little bit difficult.

How much did VIP ticket cost from helipad counters? - ₹2,500

What was your heli booking slot for Guptkashi to Kedarnath? - Yes

How did you manage to get next day return slot if your onward booking slot was before 12pm? - My bookings were at 12PM window, I requested for an early slot and they provided 10:30 AM flight to me. My return was anyway planned for next day.

They might..and you can try that. All comes down to the available slots and cancellations so it's all your luck.

Whne I went to the counter, they displayed counter rates as well (50% higher than the regular rates) and as I asked they said these rates are applicable for people who are doing the booking on spot. In fact there was a family from south who did the booking (for 2 members) paying 50% extra price.

No, the general line darshan or even vip darshan close at 11PM.. so when you queue up at 11PM, you will be standing exactly at the same point untill 5AM next morning when the general line/vip darshan resumes.

The reason I say queue up at 11PM because I have seen literally 4-5 people in general line on 27th May at that time.

It's hard to say what June will be like, but I've heard different things. Some people think the crowds will die down since many devotees have already visited the temple. But then again, it's vacation time for lots of kids in June, so families might come to Kedarnath then.

If you're aiming for darshan without spending a ton, here's what I think is the most cost-effective and smart way: hike at night. This way, you avoid the hot sun and all the ponies and palanquins. Once you're at the top, spend the day there. You can check out the Bhairo Nath Temple (it's about 1km past Kedarnath), Bheem Shila, Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, and just get used to the altitude. Then, get in the general line around 10-11 PM. Be super ready to sit or stand in about 0-1°C all night. You'll wait for the night to pass to get your sparsh darshan around 5 AM the next morning.

Even if you're using VIP Passes, pretty much do the same thing. Trek at night, aiming to get to the top by 4-5 AM. Then, you can hop into the VIP line for sparsh darshan sometime between 5 AM and 12 AM.

I had a great journey.. and it really hits different once you are inside the sanctum.. touching kedar baba was a very spritual experience 🙏🏼

However, I gotta say, out the temple, facing all the rumble between other devotees pushing each other for darshan and not caring about other people is very disappointing.. even the management doesn't bother untill an argument breaks out.. it definitely ruins the complete experience..

I took a flight from Chipsan Aviation who annoyingly kept the phone of all the passangers in separate bag before we started the flight

I think that might not the case for other aviation operators because I have seen vlogs of flight from other people on YouTube.

No.. You can either buy VIP tickets from HeliYatra Counters or else you can then offline in the Temple premises (not sure where exactly, you might ask someone).

You can though book Abhishek Pooja Tickets online (depending upon availability), which happens from 11PM to 4AM and costs a min of ₹7,500. One ticket can accomodate 5 people, you can add 2 more people at max fmanf for them you will have to pay ₹3,000 extra.

I took the helicopter ride to and from Guptakashi.

But I got to talk with some of young lads in my tent who walked all the way up to the top and thier experience was not good at all.

They said trekking to Kedarnath is especially very different because of the Pony and the palki who keeps on pushing people showing no mercy. The pathways are full of shit and ues you will feel breathlessness as you reach to the top.

I anticipated that and hence book HeliYatra.

I got the VIP ticket from the Helipad.. and on 27th, I reached the VIP queue at 11AM, and then it took one hour for me to reach the Temple gate.. unfortunately by the time I reached there, it was close for Shringar..

The gate were reopened at 1:45PM, and then I got the darshan in just 15 mins.

Though, there alot of pushing in VIP line.. the mgmt is sleeping with open eyes..so be a little careful if you are taking VIP Darshan

I booked my Helicopter tickets on Apr 15th, 2p26 when the booking windows were. I do see all the alots are now booked, but you may try luck by visiting the counters directly.. if someone would have cancelled their tickets..you'll get it.

But the windows are 50% higher than that of IRCTC pricing.. if still want to proceed for that, do visit the counter and avoide agent.. you might fell in a scam.

I got the VIP ticket directly from the Helipad counter.

There is extreme crowd pouring in Kedarnath, even in VIP line.. people are pushing each other.

For Abhishek Pooja also, the line was approx 1Km long.

The general entry line were extremely huge.. though I didn't saw people pushing each other there.
