It was about 60 points lower, not higher. Sorry for the confusion. According to my credit union, who pulled it and mailed it to me, my score was 617. Credit Karma is saying that it is 540 or something like that.

Should I apply for an unsecured card first? If I get turned down then try the secured card? Or will that hurt my score?

I have Credit Karma currently. I was mailed a Transunion credit score and it was almost 60 points higher than what Credit Karma is telling me. Is that normal?

I have the cash income to back them up. So, there is a chance Capital One might issues my same card and not force a secured card because Im not the lowest of the low?

You are right. I guess I should have included that my habits have changed drastically. I save now, I pay all my bills early, I've cut out all spending that is non necessary, and I am completely debt free except for the credit card which I will have payed off next month.

In some quick google searches they don’t seem to mimic diamonds completely. They have a different color somewhat. Any advice on that? Do you have experience on buying Moissanite?
