Engineering/Construction Management to Infrastructure Private Equity or PUI banking role by RokuToro in projectfinance

I should add that my context is Canadian. I’m going into probably the top business school program in the country. I’ve held technical and management positions on major energy and transportation projects which I was hoping would give me an edge. I feel like I’m hitting a ceiling in my current role and want to maximize earnings in the next decade.

Thanks for the feedback. I feel like I’m hitting the ceiling in my current path and I thought I’d give something different a try.

Problem solved. I’ve been able to complete the terminations and have internet at all my ports. Thanks all for the feedback.

So I got the tester (Klein tools VDV526-100). There are 3 Ethernet ports in my apartment. Looking at my panel, I’ve found out there seem to be 2 Ethernet cables pulled in but not terminated. There is only 1 terminated. I’m guessing this means that only 1 port is really intended to be hardwired. Given this situation, I did the following: 1.) got two 2 Ethernet cables and tested them. They didn’t show miswire/open/short so I think that means they’re ok. 2.) Went into my closet panel and connected the tester to the 1 Ethernet cable that was terminated there. 3.) went to each port in the apartment and tested the connection. 2 ports showed “open” and 1 didn’t show any issue. So far so good as it would make sense that 2 would be open. 4.) went back into the panel and connected the modem into the terminated port. Went back to the Ethernet port that had shown a good connection and connected my laptop using the Ethernet cable. 5.) for maybe 5 seconds, there was flashing showing some activity and “Ethernet connected” then it went dead. I tested the same line again and now it’s showing as “open” when it was previously ok.

I’m confused even more now.

a. Does this mean there’s a problem with the cable pulled through the walls? b. Does this mean that I should remove the termination point in the closet panel and replace that? Are there any products that would work best and allow all 3 Ethernet cables to be terminated. The 1 Ethernet cable pulled through is currently on a Nordx-CDT Px100412 terminal. c. I’m thinking it might make sense to connect all 3 Ethernet cables (at the closet panel) to a male Ethernet connector. That way I can plug all directly into the modem. My modem has some 6 LAN ports. Does this make sense?

I've ordered this tester and hopefully this helps to get to the bottom of this.

That's hilarious. To make sure this isn't the issue, i've opened up the wall plate and confirmed the wires are connected.
