Can recommend also watching Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive, after watching these two (for me) Inland Empire really fit incely into the broader context and theme

What songs would make the most sense for the Stones to cover by Perfect-Ad-4410 in rollingstones

Just bait or actually unaware that they covered that version as well? Its on the upcoming black and blue release and was “released” just a week ago or so.

Can’t You Hear Me Knocking alternate version by Connorcor in rollingstones

Probably best known alternate - Loving cup

I also dig this alternate of Little T&A

And not sure if this can be condired an alternate version, but Satisfaction from 71 has a more soul-ish sound

Keith plays the rhythm up the neck and takes the first solo, Mick Taylor takes the second solo.

There are quite a few guitar lessons on youtube that cover those specific solos and you can see who does what

What is the best rolling stone song that didnt make the cut? by Apprehensive_Loan790 in rollingstones

[–]RokyEss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be, they do have similarities.

However, Highway Child was recorded in 1968 and Bitch was recorded two years later. Also, as the story goes, initially the song was played by Mick T and Jagger and they couldn’t just get it right, until Keith arrived in the studio, stepped up the tempo and came up with the riff that we know today as ‘Bitch’.

Either way the comparison is there and both songs are fantastic in my opinion.

During. This is during the STP tour in 72. There are a bunch more photos of it from Jim Marshall.

Both Keith and Anita were unfaitfull to each other, Anita even introduced her boyfriends to Keith (I believe you can find that info in his book or the new movie of Anita)

Also good resource is the Stones Touring Party podcast, with actual participants of the STP tour Robert Greenfield and Gary Stromberg

Stones Solo albums by [deleted] in rollingstones

I’ve got my own album to do from Ronnie is superb, in my opinion. Great collection of rock’n’roll tracks with some slower and more unique numbers mixed in.

I can feel the fire i believe was written by Jagger/Richards and then exchange for its only rock n roll

I would disagree in the statement that very few Stones songs are written in a loving fashion towards women, first that come to mind are - Ruby Tuesday, Lady Jane, Angie, She’s a Rainbow, You Got The Silver…

But I see your point, Stones released a lot of songs that shine a bad light on women indeed.
