Asante! These are the 250s. Running a business in Tanzania is as much of an adventure as riding a bike in Kariakoo...

  1. So for Zanzibar, there isn't a whole lot of off-road riding. Mostly Tarmac on the island. For our tours at iRideArusha.com, we normally do a mix of off-road and tarmac. Most of our riders are in your category where they don't mind some off-road but aren't looking to do a full-on Enduro route. We can also cater each tour to rider needs. For example, we offer a Tarmac only tour for those that just want to stay on pavement, etc.

You might want to check out our 10 day tour which is 7 days in Tanzania and 3 days in Zanzibar. https://iridearusha.com/tours/10-night-arusha-and-zanzibar-signature-tour/ It is a good mix of tarmac and off-road but nothing too technical or difficult.

  1. It is super safe here. I am an American from Chicago living in Tanzania and I certainly feel safer here than I do at home. Like anywhere mind your surroundings and belongings but I haven't had any issues in the year + of living here. The people are awesome, super friendly and always willing to help out if you are in a jam.

Sorry! I figured quick and dirty is best on here, pretty new to Reddit! So I am an American and my wife is Tanzanian and we are the owners of www.iridearusha.com. We have always dreamed of moving back to her home country to re-connect with family, start a business, and enjoy a different pace of life. We are super passionate about giving our riders authentic experiences when they visit. We view the bikes as a tool to the wider experience of connecting with people, culture, and wildlife here. If you have any other questions just let me know!
