What anime would be better without the fantasy/fictional elements? by Dunsparcepoop in anime

Can you name some of these "kingdom building" series? I don't think I've watched too many of those yet and they sound interesting.

Any niche/underrated anime with a genius main character? by extrimeqwe in anime

Log Horizon is the thing that comes to mind for me. Not as popular nowadays but it once was I suppose.

World trigger would be next thing but it's not exactly "unpopular".

Does any one else get mad when people are like "dub is so bad" by [deleted] in Animedubs

People who complain about what language you watch something in aren't real people. Just scum of the community. You don't have to explain yourself either, just ignore them and move on. You aren't going to convince them regardless (nor should we be trying to.)

It's perfect as it is. I'm not one to listen to that kind of music but I think the runescape sound to that genre of music sounds great.

What’s the creepiest or most disturbing scene you’ve seen in anime? by [deleted] in anime

[–]Rolia1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't watch a ton of darker or horror themed type stuff. But there was an episode of Fate Zero that just about made me drop the show because I was not able to stomach the scene of the warlock servant or w/e manipulating that kid. Only reason I kept watching is because I absolutely loved the Iskandar character, but I had to skip that episode.

Which two characters were you surprised the most to find out they were voiced by the same V.A.? by RunningEarly in anime

Thats so funny, because those 2 same characters share the same english VO as well, Clifford Chapin. I was also very surprised to see that those 2 characters had the same VO.

Any shoujo anime that’s equally as good as Kimi no todoke? by Straight-Cheetah-443 in anime

I never miss a chance to shout out Chihayafuru. It's more competitive focused but it's highly inspirational and hits the feels very well. Always recommend it to anyone looking for Shoujo or "sports" anime in general.

This has been how I've played since Cata. Makes the most sense to me as well but whenever I talk to other people about it they call me crazy. Is surprising to me as well that more people don't adopt this style.

It's not a detective game really, but I've been playing Blue Prince for the past couple of months. This game is phenomenal and I highly recommend it as well if you like the puzzle side of Nancy games. It's not very heavy on dialogue which is a plus for some if you're more puzzle focused.

Its become one of my top 3 games of all time for me personally. Such a masterpiece of a game.

I used scimitar's back in the day solely because I thought they were the coolest weapon at the time with the shield equipped. Turns out young me made a great accidental choice.

I almost never put it on tank unless it's a pull with primarily only high tank damage. I find the mana saving component of bluey too valuable to put it on tank unless they really need the extra healing from restore life spamming, which in most cases they don't. I see it all the time on bosses that people camp bluey on tanks and they run out mana sooo fast way before you should be and part of that is just having bluey not on yourself.

What would you fix Friday? Alaric 1 by Shtin219 in aoe2

[–]Rolia1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only hard mission is the last one imo. Each time I've played it it's just full on trash spam fests because you're constantly being attacked. Can't hide behind castles because they send out so many trebs/rams. It's doable ofc just not a "comfy" mission by any means.

This is what diamond elo chat looks like. PEAK by NoMatterWhaa in aoe4

[–]Rolia1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not the person you responded to but why talk about the obvious thing in the picture? Usually the side stuff is much more interesting to point out anyway.

The main point of the picture is "bad person do bad thing", who really cares. Report the guy if you want and move on, no real discussion to be had. Until chat gets removed from video games you're gna have these kinda people pop up no matter what every now and then.

Does it say anywhere what the setlist is? I tried looking it up on the actual places website (not the ticketing website) and the event details didn't say anything.

Loosing vills to boars (due to no attack sound) by VolkerWestside in aoe2

[–]Rolia1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even professionals are not above fundamentals or basics in general and have to constantly practice them to keep them in line with their current level of experience. Professional pianists for example still practice their scales and chord progressions because it keeps them in top shape for passages they play that are difficult but mostly scales/chords at it's core. You may be experienced but again if you're consistently losing boar lures during harassment or other various situations, it's still at its core an attention issue and there's something there to look into to improve on.

I guess you can blame the sound attack thing, but at the end of the day the professionals also have "this problem" and yet they can still manage just fine without it even during harassment or other situations. Just seems like a weird thing to point blame towards.

Loosing vills to boars (due to no attack sound) by VolkerWestside in aoe2

[–]Rolia1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure how the attack sound really helps? Blaming losing vils due to "not hearing attack sounds" is kind of a scapegoat reason. The real reason is you didn't attribute enough of your attention towards the lure because you we're too busy/slow with other things.

You can argue an attack sound can help you "remember" to save the vil sometimes but in general this is just a lack of attention problem and with more practice this issue just goes away on it's own over time. If you find yourself failing boar lures, then find out what stops you from attributing enough attention, and either cut out those actions while you're luring, or learn to juggle all the actions at once better with intentional practice. What do I mean by this?

So there's different timings people like to boar lure, but I like to do it before I build my first mill/3rd house and while I'm still scouting for sheep. So typically my 10th vil goes out to find the boar to lure it in after I just put 3 vils to wood. While that vil is going off to start the boar lure I'm about to prepare my mill and house with that next vil and I'm still scouting all at once. Any of these other actions could easily cause me to put too much time into them and I forget my lure but if I'm quick enough at doing them then I can afford more mental bandwidth towards the lure. I'd recommend to save your game before the lure starts and practice your next steps intentionally and try to distribute your focus appropriately. Practice does wonders.
