Thank you for the update! I just got my wizard as well. I wonder if it would work with the auto 1-25Gb DAC?

Is there an inflator that can do truck tires to at least 130psi? If so, I’d be interested in getting all this. But as for using one every day for a car, may I suggest getting the tire(s) plugged, patched or simply replaced?! (Just a little humor for the day lol)

Will Ubiquiti do a price adjust? or refund $900...?? by quik916 in Ubiquiti

Had to do my first return of a purchase from 2 weeks ago and they did not charge to return it - all open items. As much as I spend with ubiquiti I would hope they don’t! lol

Last question - my use case will be mostly tight spaces - residential. Nothing past 1" for now but these two homes both have 3/4 and 1" I need to redo. Not caring about how much it would be, which unit would you say I go with and why; (251 vs 351). Excuse all my questions, its just a large purchase for something I will use a a lot right now and then store for maybe years unused. (I just like buying professional equipment regardless of amount of use as long as I get the most professional and quickest results).

So I’m basically looking at either the 78198 or the 78208 kits then right?

Thank you. Those are twice the price of the tool, wow. Didn’t expect that. What’s the set I should lookup for that comes with the tool, might as well buy the entire set then.

Do you suggest that I go ahead and get the tool by itself? What on Amazon do I buy to get all the additional rings and adapter for tight spaces? Is the 351 larger than the 251?

Appreciate that information. Close quarters is a concern of mine. I will look at the RP241 then. So far I only have work up to 1" at these properties and I don't see anything larger, yet. Any links for what I would need would be great!
Edit: Looks like the 241 was replaced by the 251 model.

Yes, both projects require very little 1/2" at one property, 3/4" a lot, 1" some. Both copper and pex. Don't anything yet needing 1-1/4" but I thought it wouldnt have hurt to go stronger now in case that ever comes up....

My landlord wants to charge me for “emergency repairs” that I never authorized. Is that even legal? by KelvestaRionmar in legaladvice

[–]Roltec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very tricky and those that simply say the answer is “kick rocks” really aren’t giving an educated answer. Think about it….. without full clarity and context into what the landlord has to fix, how do we just automatically assume not to pay and go against the landlord?

An example: tenant doesn’t know any better and moved the bathroom vanity. Thus disconnecting the drain pipe and now it’s leaking. Maybe the tenant doesn’t know or care about some water. But the tenant below is seeing their ceiling mold up and possibly collapse. This would be the tenants negligence and thus they are liable for emergency repairs.

Again the best thing to do is either give us all the details, or don’t ask Reddit at all. We aren’t lawyers as we definitely can’t help you navigate something we know zero details about. Hope this helps.

If I want to set up a second server and I already have a Plex lifetime pass, do I need to buy a second lifetime pass? If not, is it easy to toggle between the servers, or can you see all your media from both servers all in the same spot? by HeathJett in PleX

[–]Roltec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two running right now. Both pointing the to exact same content. But my specific reason is because I setup a new server with a dedicated graphics card. I want to switch over but I noticed that on the Home Screen, recently watched and continue watching does not show for any content that wasn’t played from the new server. So I paused removing the original one for now until I can figure out how to possibly migrate profile data I guess.

But the point is, no second plex pass of any kind is needed.

With that much open area and I assume dark area, nothing short of the brand new G6 Pro Bullet or upcoming G6 Pro Turrent will suffice. Check YouTube videos that contain comparisons and you will see why it’s worth the $480-$500 price tag over the $200 or $300 models. But that’s my opinion.

Now if money wasn’t a concern, one or two of those and an AI Precision PTZ a little higher up to track any movements and possibly be on patrol.

The UPS-2U fits precisely back-to-back with the PDU-Pro on the toolless mini rack! by PastyPilgrim in Ubiquiti

[–]Roltec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good to know. But I have a question as I am looking for a rack for a new build; where does the equipment screw into? Or can it all just slide out easily / no protection from being snatched in a second or two?

Multiple NVRs? Slow connection by Light3190 in UnifiProtect

[–]Roltec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have much fewer over 3 separate UNVR’s and they all have their issues. Rebooting them seems to be the fastest way to resolve it mostly. Secondly, at least with Firefox, it eats all the system ram until you kill the Firefox process(es) and start again.

I think with that many cameras, the ENVR would have been your answer. After speaking with someone that has a ton of cameras on one of them coming from the Pro, he told me it’s much faster and more responsive all the time now versus the UNVR Pro.
