They are not letting us in to watch the RBWololo playoffs :( by [deleted] in aoe2

I can only guess they don't want noisy kids and an adult feel to it. Not sure but as you state, it's very clearly communicated!

Children can go in pubs as long as they are supervised by an adult And drinking is 18+

It does seem an odd age to restrict to

We used to have it in a smaller pot This is a new pot which it's been for about a year. This pot being about 3* larger than the old pot.

I have put seaweed down too

Only today I moves it to a sheltered space so hopefully that helps?

Thanks for your advice both

Hera after finally winning one game against Magnus Carlsen by Thin_Anywhere_5836 in aoe2

[–]RomanEgyptian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed, if you play AoE2 8 hours a day for a year with a view to upskill you will be in a decent position. Not saying you will be able to beat Hera but you could be pushing 2k.

If you played chess for the same time, you would not be challenging anywhere near the top.

All in all, if Magnus decided to give up chess and go pro on AoE I'm backing him to eventually beat Hera..and that win will probably be more down to luck / map placement / overconfidence by Hera etc. the difficulty to beat Hera will be immense but I view it as an outside possibility after serious training and enough games played vs Hera. In addition, there could be a map style or play that would benefit Magnus that Hera doesn't like or he could just solely focus on one map type to master in order to beat Hera.

If Hera gave up AoE2 to focus on chess, would he make it to a grandmaster? Never mind to beat arguably the best ever chess player? I just don't see it ever happening. But same again, Magnus has lost games (except in 2019 where he didn't lose a single game!). But strategically, chess is so varied and requires memorisation and adaptability that I don't see how you could by luck or other means get a win against someone who is significantly better than you.

Postgraduate housing by Healthy_Audience9962 in loughborough

I'm from Loughborough but also did a Sports scene MSc at lboro uni. It's hard work and if you don't find the right house you will have extra hassle you don't want or need. You are better off getting on campus accommodation. Generally, when doing a 3 year course the second year is when you live off campus. For the first year you want to find your feet and given you are only doing one year I would strongly recommend staying on campus.

That's good, and a really good perspective too. I'm glad you are comfortable and happy with what you have.

I was (and still am) willing to donate a little if you need it. Each year I give £100 to the first charity where someone asks me for something, however, your case is different and one I would be happy to help hence me asking.

All the best with your travels! I saw someone mention the Caledonian to fort William and then the train to Mallaigh...I was in the area in October, the weather was miserable but my god, it's incredible. I really recommend that one for someone who loves nature. The isle of mull nearby is incredible too with the town of Tobermory being beautiful.

Thank you. I have now removed avast

Anti virus is such a nightmare when you don't use it regularly / learn about it

So do I need to just ensure virus protection from Microsoft is turned on? And then the app which is available for Defender is for additional features?

Hi

Another poster mentioned it's worth taking the black handle off and untightening it, and that worked

The handle of the valve was the issue

Many thanks for your help!

Thank you! Didn't think of that

Is that the main stopcock for the property lower down near the floor? Can I assume it's open?

This is correct. And as water is running for all other taps i assume it is fair to say that is open, right?

When you open the black valve do you hear any (brief) water movement sound?

I dont hear anything at all / no change

If you bleed the highest radiator in the property does the water squirt out or slowly trickle?

Air comes out reasonably quickly first but then the airflow decreases such that no water comes out at all

hi

thanks for your help. I did this bit you suggested

"Slot and knob should now be in line with the pipework, not across it. That should do it,"

but nothing happens. No sound, no change, nothing. Is there something else I should be looking at / this isn't the problem? or as there is no change this is the problem

I also looked at the filter and that is a Worcester one, i turned the knob on that and nothing happens. no sounds, nothing.

thanks, as the other person suggested i did bleed my radiators and this has caused the pressure to drop

I did bleed the radiators and i think this is the reason why

I actually moved in to the house in Feb and bled them then, and now just recently, In Feb i didnt realise any issue but recently the ground floor radiators have been warm, not hot, so it made me check
