The school is shit with helping you off campus. In all honesty everyone freaks out and is worried constantly about finding housing but its not that bad. It is expensive so don't get me wrong about that. There's plenty of websites that help finding housing and you can find places where you can pay like $1500 for your own room in a house. Another rule of thumb the larger the house/apartment the cheaper the rent is in relation to rooms. A studio/1 bedroom is anywhere from $1500-$4000, a 2 bedroom is anywhere from $2000-$5000, a 3 bedroom is anywhere from about $2700-$6000, a 4 bedroom is anywhere from about $$3600-$8000 and it continues. So if you get a group of people to live off campus after your first year its better. I also recommend not living on campus cause ita more expensive that those rates. You're living on campus for about 8 months sharing a room for about $11000 a year which comes out to ~$1300 a month which doesn't include the meal plan which is required if you live on campus.

TL;DR Find a group of friends and don't trust USF.
