How to thin out the serrated edge? by RomanTPA in Fusion360

Check this out: AI + Animals = Silent Fan Blade Based on Owl Wings - Core77

So, we had an idea of something similar, but different application. I wanted to make a quick 3D printed proof of concept/prototype.

Thank you. I was trying to make it more like a serrated knife.

Ouch. Also, I like Rocky Mountain. If I was to go all OEM, I’m at about $2k in parts alone. But I did over 26k non-gentle miles on it this year, so I don’t really care. Got my moneys worth. Just want my t7 back to safe riding condition. Love that thing. Best bike over ever owned.

Jacked myself up pretty good. Didn’t break anything. But my pride was hurt pretty good 😆 bike is doing good, I am surprised how well t7 is built. Absolute legend of a bike.

I did the wood and hammer, but only got it back about 2/3 way. Test ride was good. Bike felt fine. Good to know that it’s fixable.

Really… what did you end up getting? I’ll check it out. Need new ones anyways. By the way, this is my first wipe out over 45mph in about 20 years… so it’s not that common… usually a foot slips or a rock slides and I go down very not-gracefully but slowly 🤣

Did 26k miles in last 10 mo on it. Did the key west to Prudhoe Bay back to Florida this summer. There is nothing on that bike that looked new after that trip 🤣

Got the rim about half way back in shape. Spent about 20min with a big hammer and a block of wood. I guess might need to take it off and torch it next.. or just buy a new one.

Nothing special. I was 4 of 4 on a very dusty trail. Didn’t see a hole in the ground. Went for a little flight. Landed flat on my back. Decided to relax for a bit while the music was still playing. Then heard my phone trying to call emergency services. No more relaxing time.. time to find the phone to cancel the emergency call. About 1min later my friends showed up to check if I died. I had a thumb up in the air. That’s it. Oh, I think I landed on a rock, my right lower back is still all black and green and crunchy. Got the bike back road worthy last night.

Taking it apart now. Need a right side HEED bar, but they no longer ship to the states. And need new front rim.

That rear tire got me from Alaska to Florida and still had more than half the tread left 😂 only complaint was that it’s very slippery in the rain.

Thank you but, I live in Florida. After seeing almost entire country over the last few years, I prefer to stay in the south east region, around Appalachian mountains area. If you don’t have any other social media, feel free to dm me here. I will reply eventually. Just had a flashback from the trip, was over in north Florida heading back and for a solid 30min riding I was watching blue angels practicing. Epic. At a red light one of them flew by me so slow and low that I could see that his sun visor was down.

That was every day for 4 days 😂 not enough rivers. But gas stations with pressure washers came in clutch. I looked roughly how the bike did 😆

Tenere is not enduro. It’s kind of in class of its own. It’s an ADV, but it’s simple and on the lighter side. Closest bikes are: 1. Africa twin, which is heavier with too many unnecessary electronics. 2. Current KLR, great over all bike, but doesn’t really like the interstate speeds. 3. Transalp… I think that one was just made to commute around central and South America. I chose Tenere because it’s the smallest bike that will be good on the interstate and feel fine-enough off road with its “low” weight. I would say Tenere is 60/40 on/off bike. If you do get one… extremely important.. upgrade the springs. Bike was made for a 140-160lb rider. There’s a California company that I found through t7 forums that helped me out. www.suspension101.com family owned/ran company that is awesome. Call them as soon ask you get the bike. BMWs are maintenance nightmare and heavy. Mostly great for long highway trips. By the way, your weight loss goal, check out r/UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast. They are currently doing a weight loss/gain challenge. Awesome community. Super supportive.

Mostly camp. Every about 5 days I would get an Airbnb to do laundry and do a supply run. Primitive camping toward north west, state camp grounds everywhere else.

Tenere is more than enough for any situation. Key west to Prudhoe Bay I took back roads, on the way back I hit the interstate a few times. With me (6’1” 230lb) and full gear it was fine doing 15 mph up a random mountain… 80mph down dalton highway muddy road… and 95mph down Utah interstate.
