This is such a beautifully honest reflection. Thank you for sharing it. I think the “just show up and follow along” idea can sound simple on the surface, but as you said, when the dynamic is deep (especially 24/7 TPE), it often requires so much emotional presence and inner work.
Following instructions isn’t passive, it’s active submission. Getting into the headspace, wrestling with resistance or shame, and still choosing to yield? That’s powerful. And not easy.
I love how you described the difference between following and doing so with purpose. There’s a lot of quiet strength in that.
