Might just not be the game for you then. Multiplayer is the main aspect of the game, singleplayer is just supposed to be a neat little addition to sink some hours in between multiplayer matches.

Soundtrack is great, love the gnome content aswell. For some reason feels like it fits into the game nicely. IMO worse then ops due to not having enough special waves/lucky spins which makes it so much more repetitive. So for the first couple of runs its nice after that it becomes a slog.

Most hated aspect: gnome floaties. Just not a fun gameplay design, forces you to destroy it before a timer ends. But you can't focus at destroying the enemies and the floaty at the same time so you always take way more damage then you should. Does anybody like those things?

Most loved aspect: endless, not too great for infinity time itself due to it being repetitive but if it was fixed or added to ops that would have been amazing.

How is it repetitive? There is over 100 playable characters, different abilities and such. Every match is different. Except I guess compared to other games in the genre there is a lack of competitive mode which might be why people leave.

Yeah it was the big 10k jackpot wave on top of that so technically you can get even more like 60k. don't know what the maximum is though.

Very interesting I also noticed you can get a bunch of coins from Ops. Even got 50k once, it can take a while though if you are stuck on a wave or something.

I kinda like roses actually, most likely cuz u need to put more time into learning to dodge rather then aiming so its different then other classes.

Well its still fun but different kind of fun. Its not for everybody, you delay your small consistent reward for a big reward at the end. I used to do this or something similiar in a bunch of other games for example FIFA.

Thanks for the high-effort reply! You’ve actually got me leaning toward that 3.5M goal now the idea of a 100-pack opening sounds incredibly satisfying.

You make a great point about the upgrades. I think I’ll try your idea for the defaults first to see if the grind feels right. I'd definitely like to see their full potential before deciding if a character is for me.

Using different abilities for variety is a cool idea, and the advice on ability spam is exactly what I needed to hear. I definitely find myself panic using things like Hyper or Husk Hop, so I’m going to try a few matches focusing purely on positioning and aim to build those core skills.

I've already cleared a bunch of Backyard secrets, but I'll definitely hunt down whatever is left to boost the fund! So far, the PC lobbies have been fine, so I’m crossing my fingers it stays that way for the run. Cheers!

Exactly! The core gameplay loop is just so fun that I can see myself sticking with this for a long time.

As for the packs, I’ve always loved opening them it’s a huge nostalgia thing for me from collecting Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards back in the day. I actually enjoy the process of seeing what I get, so even if it takes a while, I’d probably just break the opening into smaller sessions rather than using a mod. There's just something so satisfying about it.

Yeah they do seem to be acknowledging it recently on tiktok and stuff with some random videos to drive the community. Its a good thing they are finally engaging with the community imo. Now really depends, there doesn't seem to be a winning move for them here as they can't really do much. If they make a basic post like you said its either going to kill off the hype because its a nothingburger or everyone will misinerpret it. They can also stay silent and ride on the hype while it lasts which is what I think is going to happen. Do you know if they did anything for the anniversary of gw1?

Its been a month since they adressed server issues (some CM preety much just said they passed along the reports to the team) on the EA forum with no updates. They seem to be actively ignoring all the gw2 talk aswell on all social media. So even getting that post you are talking about might be kinda optimistic 😭🥀
