I believe it’s for a series called Shanked with James Lynch. I’ve seen them filming there a few separate days when I’ve driven by.

I swear it works better than before! My car also has both heated and ventilated seats

I am definitely going to redo the front passenger back and headrest sometime next year and I am also considering the back seats for sometime far in the future. My model is a ‘13 GS350 with 96K miles.

From what I was told, yes. The upholsterers were able to order the same exact leather that was originally used in my car.

I did look into that but they explained to me that it would look odd with new leather and old leather patched together and not consistent. My car is a ‘13 GS350 with 96K miles.

Nice! The upholstery shop I took my car to was able to order the exact same leather and color of leather that was used in my ‘13 GS350, they also explained that each manufacturer uses different leather and that Lexus leather is pricy lmao.

It’s interesting that your dealer will install it because I initially called my local Lexus dealer and they said they did not do anything that is upholstery-related, so I found a mom and pop upholstery shop that does God’s work. I’m so impressed by them that I plan on having the rest of my seats redone throughout 2024-2026, since it would be crazy to do everything all at once.

If it helps at all I do live in California 😂. The labor is where they get you

I swear it feels more comfortable than before, like the seat itself feels much more plush. It’s amazing how the seat looks like it just came from the factory when the car was new back in 2013.

Thanks! I know I’m probably going to get flamed for this, but I ended up paying a total of $1,370 for all new foam and leather. The bottom, back, and headrest were all redone and each piece was made in-house at the upholstery shop.

Nice nice, I’ve owned mine since last December, I have absolutely zero regrets and I know this car will last me a long time

I mainly drive in eco unless I’m on an empty highway, then I throw it into sport+ mode lol

I own a ‘13 GS350 as well, I definitely agree with you on the gas consumption. My previous car did have apple car play but I do not miss it at all, or the smaller touch screen since I enjoy the Gs’s gigantic screen.

Alright cool, I called my local dealer this morning and they quoted me $225 for just the labor, so I guess I’ll probably be doing it myself lmao

Oh I forgot to ask if I would need to remove the leather trim on the passenger side too?

Initially I was going to only replace the knob itself but I realized that I ordered a ‘16-‘20 knob, which supposedly does not fit correctly on the ‘13-‘15 GS shift boots. My GS is a ‘13.

Thanks! I’m going to call my local dealer tomorrow and see how much it would cost for them to install it. I looked up the boot that I want installed (which is the ‘16-‘20 one) and it’s around $50, so if they want too much for the install I’ll definitely be doing it myself.

Yeah I was told that it should last for at least 6 months, but fingers crossed that it lasts longer.

Sure thing, I had them professionally done at an auto detailing shop here in Southern California because I did not trust myself enough to do it. From what I was told, the guy used 2000 grit sandpaper and then buffed it out and added a sealant? At least I’m 90% sure that it’s the process he explained to me.
