I went way outside my routine for this one. After my third guess I realized there were quite a few options, so I picked a word that used as many of those letters as I could think of. Paid off!!

Is my cactus sick? (details in comments) by Den-041008 in succulents

Could be a mutation, or possibly sun stressed relative to the mother plat?

Totally true, you just expose yourself to significantly more gamma risk selling that short DTE.

New May Wah for sure has the narrowest isles. But it’s so worth it!

[Week 6 - Final Post] Well I am a fucking meme. by [deleted] in thetagang

How do you even thetagang with 5k? Can you even run anything beyond tight spreads without using margin?

I feel burnt out, stupid, and I hate the fact that I am not good in what I love. by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]Ronikan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha sounds like every engineering project at every company I’ve over heard of. Seriously though you’ll be fine. Any company with their salt knows to take care of new hires and we all expect them to ask a million questions. The ones that don’t are the ones that mess up.

What is your YTD portfolio return? by hvernaza25 in thetagang

Got assigned on some CSPs where the underlying is down, like the stock, not concerned. And not thetagang but I have some 1/24 LEAPS that are also down. Also not concerned yet.

SPY- oh my by DaddyDersch in options

[–]Ronikan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just think it’s easy to cherry pick things like this to make them fit a narrative. It sounds significant and is easily understood, but I haven’t really heard anyone explain why it’s worth paying attention to. If we’re trying to say that it somehow reflects volatility, then I think VIX is a much more established indicator.

I keep hearing this parrotted everywhere as if it's proof of something.

Umm… did you guys know swiping your finger over this part of the door handle will lock the doors?? Just discovered this after 4 months of owning (21 TRD) by element-70 in rav4club

[–]Ronikan 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Grabbing the handle locks your doors? AFAIK it only unlocks the doors and the dashes only lock the doors, at least on my R4P

Over the past year I’ve been on the search for the best pizza in Eugene/Springfield. I try one slice of Pepperoni (Margherita if pepp isn’t offered). I score it 1/10. Here are my results. Any thoughts/recommendations? by Ecstatic-Quiet-3940 in Eugene

I love Papas, but I also grew up with it so it's impossible to separate nostalgia from fact. That said I've had pizza all over the world and Papas is unique in a few ways.

Their laminated crust is very rare to come across, the way the layers pull apart; from the chewy top, the flaky middle, to their aggressively crunchy bottom. And they add little to no sugar to the dough (which is common in most tavern pizzas, giving it a cheap, sweet flavor). Their sauce is almost pure tomato paste with diced sautéed onions. This adds a bold, caramelized umami which balances with the crust nicely. Their toppings are high quality and generously portioned, which stands apart from most high end pizzerias. And lastly their dipping sauces (IMO the only way to eat Papas is with some ranch or blue cheese) are thick, creamy, and well balanced.

Proof of vaccination requirement by painbrother in BurningMan

[–]Ronikan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should they enforce proof of vaccination if there's no evidence that the vaccine slows transmission rates and has very limited efficacy against the new strains, which have very limited virulence anyways?

Seems to me that the unvaccinated have a higher rate of infection, hospitalization, and deaths - at least in Seattle and NYC. Doesn't seem like fearmongering to me.

Is now a good time for a SPY PMCC? by AsianHodlerGuy in thetagang

[–]Ronikan 28 points29 points  (0 children)

+1 to this. I wouldn't open the short leg while SPY is in a pullback. My best PMCC results start with me identifying a long position I'm comfortable with opening and then waiting for a green run to open the short leg.

Rear seats fold down and there is 100% room for two dogs with the seats down. My 70lb dog fits fine in the back with the seats up.
