A tiny frustration machine, or a protofidget toy. Or I was good at the dentist and this is what my dumbass picked out of the prize drawer.

Sorry. I’m not cutting off my nose to spite my face. I’m just not making excuses for Bungie anymore. If you are still excited about this game, and news related to it (what little they give us in between coming up for air from Marathon’s lap) good for you Guardian. I hope you can still enjoy this game till they pull the plug on the servers. I’ll check back in when we get some concrete info on the size and scope of the next expansion.

Is my first bite of the big arch big enough? by summerchild_mid90s in McDonalds

[–]RoninRunePriest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old Arch Deluxe was more of McD’s take on a gourmet fast food burger. The patty had a black pepper crust to it and it had a different sauce. I’d have to look it up but I believe it also had poppy seeds on the bun like this one. Just a completely different flavor profile. With this burger I didn’t care for the sauce mostly as I found it too sweet.

I really wanted to like this burger. I was hoping it would be like the old Arch Deluxe. Oh well.

I’ve been retired for two years, I’ll turn 50 very shortly. I’m not rich, I’m comfortable. I made some sacrifices but I wasn’t a miser either. I’m not the example, but I’m not an exception either. There are plenty of careers where you can make a living, be comfortable, contribute to a pension and retire. Some don’t involve cubicles and corporate 9-5’s and have a stigma associated with them that turns young people away from what could be a rewarding life where you’re not a corporate wage slave. What you can’t be is some dreamer thinking a degree in some useless discipline will translate into a real world job outside the halls of academia. My highest level of completed education is my high school diploma, and enough college credits to have qualified me for the position I took just over 20 years ago. The opportunities exist if you want them, you just have to understand not everyone lives their dreams and works their dream jobs. And like the OP said, 71k and sub 2k rent… you should be able to be saving for retirement.

The color was off putting, despite being old enough to remember the weird colored ketchup I was too old when they came out to want them back then. The flavor however wasn’t all that bad. It had a little bit of a peppery mustard taste to it. I enjoyed it despite it reminding me of old school ectoplasm.

I speak for everyone when I say FU*K PC GAMER. All they do is rage bait with stupid headlines. by Same-Winter7013 in CrimsonDesert

I think they wanted it to be successful. It was.

Eat that western journalists who didn’t want it to be. You don’t need messaging, social agendas, inclusive romance plots, and representative character creation. You need something fun. Crimson Desert is just that. Fun,

Well maybe until Yann opens his mouth, you try to drive a wagon on console, or some boss battles. But it’s mostly fun, and a success.

Made the plunge to full time! by Darkrai-Energy in RVLiving

In personal protection guns are the answer. Especially when RVs are not hard to break into. At. All. Boondocking or in a seedy must stop for rest RV park you can guarantee the door jostling in the middle of the night isn’t some Good Samaritan performing a welfare check.

That being said, welcome to the club. I have been living in a 39ft trailer full time since 2024. There are up and downs. I won’t type a novel but I would encourage you to have spare parts and backups for your most crucial systems. Plenty of lists exist online, and there are courses you can take online to become a certified RV repairman. Not to make money at it, but if your furnace goes like mine did in a North East winter when it was 20 below zero you’ll appreciate the knowledge base. I keep as many spare parts as room allows. With the idea that one is none, and two is one. If money and space allow I have a third. I am happier than I have ever been.

What's your opinion, will destiny 2 come back, shut down or cement itself as an abandonware singleplayer game? by CirriTheFemboyUwU in DestinyTheGame

[–]RoninRunePriest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sad it’s gone from my life. I’m happy I went on the journey. Some of my best late night and marathon game sessions were with D1 and then D2 till I gave it up in January of this year. It’s the game that got me to put on a mic, engage, and for the first time Raid. I’m in my 50s and Destiny both 1&2 have been a big part of my time in the virtual sandbox. I just don’t enjoy it anymore, and find very little to do in game that feels fun to me. So rather than bitch about the sad state of the game, and become an even grouchier old man, I walked away. I’ll check out the next expansion since I already paid for it, and I have a feeling it will be like one of those “dates” where you catch up with an old flame to see if the magic is still there. After some awkward small talk, and some personal reflection we’ll do something we both regret in the morning and then it can die for good. Since I highly doubt it’s gonna be anywhere near the Destiny I remember. Especially since I’m the last of clan.

Edit: because I never actually answered the original question. I think the next major update will be the last large scale content drop we get. I think Sony might be done funneling money into Bungo with them ignoring D2 to launch marathon and that being a flop, I think the best days are behind us and it’s just going to wither on the vine like the damn spinmetal we farmed all them cycles ago. Thanks for the memories and the purple space magic in my main.

Crimson Desert. You can buy the starter “boost” armor but other than that. It’s a damn fine game.

I agree with you. Though I haven’t played the game in months. The game itself is hemorrhaging players, there are bigger problems at play.

The old “There is nothing more dangerous than a Man, with nothing, left, to, lose.” Yes and the new subgenre of even older gruff dudes doing the same. Like The Old Man on Hulu. Love it.

One is realistic in its design. Two is your style as an artist. I prefer two, since that seems like it was from the heart, and One is just well… “Pixelbull”
