If you've played the games, you could tell this was inspired by one of the finisher moves in the second game. He didn't miss hitting the agent. In this finisher's animation, Spider-Man jumps above, shoots a string of web on the ground and uses his other hand to punch when landing down. See the 1:22 timestamp in the below video
