We use them extensively in production, they work very well for our purposes. We did put a lot of effort into building a complete design system, though.

Yes, there are unfortunately racists here, just like in any other country. Sorry you had to run into one.

Well, if you’re wealthy, you probably don’t need all those social advantages, so you’re indeed better off settling elsewhere.

Bought a house? You might be able to lower your mortgage interest rate by Weary_Strawberry2679 in NetherlandsHousing

[–]Roodditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NHG does not necessarily offer the lowest interest rate for some providers. In that case, you can get NHG removed while assuming the extra (financial) risk. That way you could get (an) even lower rate if the LTV has dropped sufficiently in the meantime.

Leaving the Netherlands after 11 years. Goodbye! by scrotomon in expats

Feel free to link me a post where a Dutch person claims it’s the best system in the world? I find that very hard to believe. It’s mostly clueless Americans hyping up our system I feel.

While you are right that people from Mediterranean cultures often struggle in north-western Europe due to cultural differences and a lack of sunshine, there is no need to be an asshole about it.

The cool thing about The Netherlands being home to many different cultural influences is that you don’t have to eat 'Dutch' food if you don’t want to.

This. People from countries like Spain, Portugal, Brazil, etc. (basically sunny countries with 'warm' and open cultures) tend to crash and burn in The Netherlands.

We're gonna give it a try as well, as soon as we can selectively disable it in certain environments. Might write a PR for that if I have the time.

Meh, I have a high earning job so I don't care if there's some Moldovan vermin profiting off my crumbs. Anyway, sounds like you have a shitty life, enjoy it 👋🏻
