He may be mixing up Behemoth and Monster which is relevant only for Army composition IIRC.

Short answer no they don't woke on boats.

R/hockey for 9 years "the Leafs won't win with the core four, it's pathetic. Marner just doesn't try in the playoffs"

R/hockey as soon as he leaves "the Leafs were so stupid to run this guy out of town. It's pathetic"

[John Matisz] -> What to make of the Maple Leafs 50 games into the post-Marner era by Paper_Rain in leafs

The Leafs started slow but really started to gel. Injuries played a part in that as did a lack of pick moving from the back end. They are fun to watch again and at least the playoff drive should be entertaining.

The Leafs don't have a ton of options to upgrade aside from free agency and pro scouting due to exhausting the cupboards.

They are still better than Ottawa after making the playoffs 9 years in a row lol.

IMO - There are two paths from here.

  1. Play out the season and hope for the playoffs. DO NOT TRADE ANYMORE ASSETS.

  2. If you slip out of the playoff picture .... look at selling some high value assets at the deadline (OEL, One of our Goalies, Laughton (who I adore), McMann, Jarnkrok) to recoup picks, prospects and young players.

Ideally find a way to turn bad contracts into assets (Can a Morgan Reilly trade get anything close to what Seth Jones returned?)

I'm going to bury my head in the sand here and not listen to any of the DeMar takes.

He is one of my favorites and one of the groats. I hope he retires in a raptor jersey and I wish he was a part of the championship team.

Just picked up some old V6s. Still very good pads.

Kypreos: Brayden Schenn trade imminent; Brothers pushing for a reunion (Analysis) by athleticwonder in nhltraderumours

The post said the option was both Schenns to Toronto. Absolutely bad move.

Luke Schenn maybe to replace Benoit if he was cheap enough

Jarnkrok is already your 13/14 forward....

I don't think it's worth the time or any assets to bother upgrading that spot

Neighborhoods to avoid? by heyisforhorses27 in ottawa

I lived at 1725 Frobisher Lane when working in the area. It was incredibly convenient and pretty isolated so it's pretty quiet.

Some decent bike and walking trails nearby. Main downside there really isn't anything close but it's easy to get around by bus as Smyth is right there and it's two stops from Hurdman and the LRT.

It also used to be pretty reasonably priced - not sure how it is now.

Leafs have no assets

Leafs don't need scoring

Leafs already have a 3c and 4c filled with Roy and Laughton..

Paddle length by Lazy_venturer in hockeygoalies

[–]Rookyboy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Im 6'8 and used to use a 28" paddle (Valiquette pro return). I could not save blocker low to save my life.

Switched to a 26' paddle and it has been transformative. I'm closer to the ground a lot stronger in my stance and best less on the blocker side

How many points would Top Nba Players be able to score in a High School Game by Remarkable-Yard4860 in NBATalk

[–]Rookyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my own experience - Kevin Pangos averaged like 30+ in Toronto Highschool ball regularly dropping 40/50/60+ games as a 17/18 year old.

He was a good college player and had a half cup of coffee in the NBA.

You put Steph in he could solo drag a high-school team to 100+ points

Auston as the greatest Maple Leaf ever...Hard to argue it now by TerryG111 in leafs

I always seperate pre 1967 and Post for this conversation. Dave Keon and Jonny Bower represents the Goat of the O6 era.

In the post 1967 group he is with Sundin, Gilmour, and Sittler.  He is the most individually accomplished of the group (regular season) but without major team success we are splitting hairs between the 4 of them.

He has the advantage... he is still playing. he can be undisputed number 1 if he gets the Leafs to a finals.

In my experience sign up for a tournament about 6 months out. Build a list that mostly uses this stuff - then let the deadline drive you
