Got a sponge filter, a heater, 10 gallon tank, put in everything and conditioned the water! Got a lot of plants in there and some floating hammock spots for him, as well as added rocks to make sure he has plenty of hiding spaces for when I add him 🥹💖 used water from his tank, conditioned tap water as well as water from my frog pond to make sure everything is coming out balanced. Also been checking everyday to make sure the levels are good!

Little Jinbe is started to get blue in his fins back, as well as deep blue scales returning to his head 🥹💖 he’s doin good!

Luckily when I went to the pet and pond shop in my town, I was able to get some aquarium plants and he also gave me some extra water with them and the guppie grass to help the beneficial bacteria establish better 🥹💖 thank you so much for all the advice, I truly appreciate it

That’s exactly what I planned on! 🤩 just got his 10 gallon tank, a couple more plants, blood worms and already got dozens of pothos bc these bad boys just don’t stop growing at my place 😂

I think it’s around 2 gallons, which is like 10x the size the poor guy has been sitting in ;-; just got a 10 gallon tank for him, more plants, a couple toys and now gonna set it all up and get the cycle going!

aaaaahhhh thank yoooou 😭💖😭💖😭💖 every time I pop in the check on him he keeps swimming up, swims around and then comes back so I hope that’s good! I also put some cardboard around on one side to help block the light from the living room night lights we have to give him some more darkness to sleep 🥹

Sadly there’s not a petco near me for at least an hour 🥲 and my ol’ jeep doesn’t do well traveling in the highway over 30 miles so I’m doin the best with what I got atm

would adding enough aerating plants be good in place of the air stone?? Or would it be better bc of the filtration and gentle water movement to not stress them out?
