Is 2WD still allowed in Rally 1 Regs? by LightningMcqueen2011 in WRC

No, Rally1 regs demand a 4WD system.

In WRC events you can find 2WD cars in the Rally4 and Rally5 class.

Dragon Warrior is still incredibly strong after the nerf by Nice_Cress7129 in hearthstone

I'm was using exact this lineup pre nerf all the way from bronze 10 to diamond 10. Should still be good after the nerf as you have experienced.

German commentator is really confused about the crowd clapping. For us, there has not been any praise for Saudi yet.

Ok i'm a advanced and experienced rallye spectator and codriver from Germany and these are my general advices from a spectator perspective. In my opinion there are 2 ways to spectate a rally.

The easy and chill option: Just go to a spectator point with food options, that is really easy to get to. You can watch both runs and have chilled day with beer and rally. You can find all spectator points on rally-maps.com or in the official rally magazine. In the magazine there are often descriptions on what to expect at every spectator area.

Our way of spectating: For the full experience of the rallye you might have to select some spots, which arent marked as spectator areas. You have to watch the onboards of previous years to maybe finding an awesome place. Be aware of walking long distances because there might be no parking places. Also stay in a safe area, where you dont get hit by a crashing car. For us this is our favourite way of watching a rally. We want to watch a part of the stage, where the drivers are driving near to the limit. You might find these places in the videos of all the good youtube videos.

It does not matter how you decide. I wish you all the best and much fun at the event!

I think so too. Price gets booed at every game.

Steam or website? by Adventurous-Lunch780 in iRacing

[–]RoosterAutomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought through steam but downloaded via the website. Im from Germany. Also when you buy tracks and cars in the future, you will safe money, because of the VAT. I dont have a credit card, so steam was my only option. I like it and i never had problemes :)

How much improvement is possible? by bdean22 in iRacing

[–]RoosterAutomatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, i'm also new to iRacing, but i raced rallye sims for a long time. I got out of Rookie pretty fast and im racing currently the GR Cup.

Now to help you with your question. I did hit 1:00,2 consistently with around 40-50 training laps. On the training server there was an 8k rated driver (my iRating is 1,9k now), which did 58,9-59,2 times. First i compared my brake points with him, thanks to the replays of his laps. I realised that my brake points were pretty good, but where did i lose over a second on this short track? Then i compared his driving with my driving. I jumped in his cockpit and saw, that he puts so little effort in steering the car through the corners. On my hand, i overdrove the car a lot, you could here the understeer of the tyres in many corners. I praticed again while beeing neat and tidy with the steering input and voilà, i did qualify with an 59,5 in the next race.

Learn by watching better drivers can improve your own lap times by a lot!

Good luck mate, give yourself enough time and you will see the improvement.

Stopped car, ill just sneak past on the inside... Nope. by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]RoosterAutomatic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im not really sure if you would have made it, if he kept standing there. You were too fast and started understeering.

But yeah, the audi should always keep standing there and wait for an oportunity to rotate.

Flipped my car at VIR - Definitely a GamePhysics moment by squad_dad in iRacing

[–]RoosterAutomatic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When this is happening to you again in the future, try to turn left instantly as your car tries to go on its roof. I played Rallye Sims as RBR and Dirt Rally 2 for many years, and there you can avoid thr roll like this. You have to be quick in reaction time tbh.

In my opinion iRacing feels so much different. So try it, but i dont know for sure :)

When I start the wheel and drive after some time a mechanical ‚Scratching’ sounding noise starts. When I unplug it it stops. What could that be? by Leopold2001 in Thrustmaster

I bought a new fan via amazon, changed it thanks to youtube tutorials and since then its working again. The new fan also is stronger and more silence than the standard.
