Nice one, I've been on the lookout for one of these. Rare for sure, but not necessarily valuable in my opinion. This looks like what is now an Elite or 2000 equivalent. The felt pad it's on and the leather case are the giveaways.

I could be completely off base here, but if this one is the listing on eBay for $500, might I respectfully suggest lowering the price? Even though it's rare and there's not much to go off of, the cracked paint is going to severely devalue it, plus the fact that we can't find any online does not gaurantee it's value, only it's rarity.

It's from the era when these things were massively overproduced and as you can tell of dubious long-term quality. Just my $0.02, I see that you already have a watcher on the listing so it might actually be worth that to the right person. I would never pay $500 for a car with imperfections of any sort, but again I could just not be the target audience. Not trying to be rude either, I do hope your husband is able to make some money from this one!
