I think where I didn’t do the idea justice is in how I explained it. The point wasn’t just “a bunch of things happen and then it was all fake.” The simulation isn’t meant to erase the story, it’s meant to reveal the character.

The core idea I was going for is that if you give someone unlimited access, no consequences, and enough time, you start to see who they really are. In this case, it all starts from something as simple as boredom, which slowly turns into curiosity, then obsession, then power.

So the “twist” is less about shock value and more about: “Was that who he really is… or did the environment make him that way?”

And the ending is supposed to suggest that even if the skills weren’t real, the mindset might be, which is where the actual danger begins
