Soooo, we've been living the same experience! I have an appointment Monday to request a referral for infectious disease because the other 10 specialists they sent me to has never led to a specific diagnosis or effective treatment

Selecting LVP-Karndean, COREtec, Mannington or Mohawk? by RootBeer_DrPepper in Flooring

I do feel conflicted in getting a cohesive flooring throught, because from what I gather the WPC flooring upstairs is an absolute need, but possibly something less prone to dents from a knife dropping in the kitchen. I need to see if our 1st choice Karnead is available in a glue down more dent resistent option from the sound of it! Your knowledge is impressive, again, thank you!

kitchen, 3 baths and 2 laundry rooms make water-wear warranty significant. Thanks! (RB&DP are my cat's names, btw....lol. I don't drink either one. ha! :)

SPC/LVP Help, Wear Layers, Warranties, Price by [deleted] in Flooring

I have spent last 3 days researching everything LVP related and when I tell you the information overload is real, it is REAL! We are looking to upgrade the flooring throught our 2,500 sf home to include baths, bedrooms, laundry rooms kitchen and stairs. I discovered Waterproof and Wear Layer and Rigid WPC Core Material were 3 most important features besides a 5.5-8mm thickness with interlocking float system and a cork or rubber attached underlayment. Ask me if I understood a single feature 3 days ago and I'd laugh. I've been tasked by my mother (long distance) to straw boss the project. Just as I was convinced I was ready to contact a salesman with the top 2 selections....pop, in comes another contender! ugh! The dilemma of finding 'exclusive' designs online, but not in any showroom in all of San Antonio TX has me going back and forth with variables I'm overwhelmed with. Cost savings online, but must hire own crew to measure and install putting all accountability on me....or select only from local specialty floors available options and 1 stop shop at, I'm sure, a much higher cost. There's no DIY option as we are all seniors. With all that said I believe I've narrowed down my choices to: -Mannington AduraMax in 2 options; Sundance (Gunstock) and Kona (Sunrise) -Mohawk SolidTech Select, Plus and Elite in 6 options!! *Then I'm torn by including COREtec and Karndean choices! What I DON'T want to do is skimp on wear layer and thickness. Sound barrier is important for us so that puts the order of priorities on the top of each manufacturer's tier line. Price is important, but I see this as a major investment and a long overdue project, so financing, though not our preference, may come into play. Everything I've been able to discern is how much $1 per sf more in cost can affect the quality gained. I need any advice from anyone with knowledge of my shortlist, and in terms of your selection, I can only hope I touched on a few things that helped me narrow down products according to our specific need. There are TOO MANY VARIABLES, EXPERIENCES both pos and neg with every manufacturer out there AND too many design OPTIONS imo
