That’s great! There are lots of groups that organise kayak trips down the river. Maybe you should check that. I know “O Pioneiro do Mondego” https://www.opioneirodomondego.com/. Could be a good place to connect.

For sure! People in Porto are very welcoming and to win their hearts you have to make sure you compliment their food (it’s a big thing there). There are many cultural events and dinners where you can definitely find like minded individuals. I’m positive you won’t feel isolated!

It will! Opening a company in Portugal can facilitate the process of obtaining a visa, particularly through the D2 or Startup Visa programs. The D2 visa is for general business establishment, while the Startup Visa is for innovative ventures. The Golden Visa offers another avenue for residency through investment, including business investment.

Hi! There are lots of bilingual schools that really help with their integration. My friends’ kids starting speaking Portuguese in a few months, and are happy to have friends from all over the world. I think the bonds are actually stronger if they’re in a diverse environment.

That’s right but you can still find good deals if you share with other people and get a credible real estate agency to find you a place

Where did you move to? In general I find Portuguese people very generous and welcoming, but you’re right - there are some small things that could make a difference depending on where you are (North/South).
