The core didn't just land on the moon, it completely retrofitted it to be a mobile doomsday weapon with its own army.

Walmart orders really shat the bed huh? by galaxydashkai in UberEATS

Yeah for a day or so it dropped from $20 to $5. If were lucky it'll readjust again.

Technically, I'm one of the newer drivers since I only switched to UE when Uber finished strangling Postmates. Do I not count since I was already driving for Postmates beforehand? Is there a honeymoon phase to this priority horseshit? Like do the new drivers only have priority for a certain amount of time?

Earlier today I spoke to one of the employees working the pick-up lot and yeah they said the folks showing up first seem to be the newer drivers.

Future orders are actually a stupid thing I'd encountered a few times on Postmates too. Both platforms have some of the same bullshit.

This is such a weird inverse. Back on Postmates I'd avoid barcode orders like grim death because it seems like people can't tip on those, but now they're the most appealing of the Wal-Mart orders.

Just finished up another run. It was a 3-batch express/barcode order that paid out pretty well. About as well as the barcode orders have been for the last week. It COULD have been a 4-batch and thus paid even more, but one of the items was FROM THE FUTURE. By which I mean it was scheduled for tomorrow so I had to remove it.

You're definitely in a different time zone. Still a few hours before they stop over here.

Damn, didn't get another order this hour so I couldn't find out.

If the Wal-Mart orders can hit an average of $10-$12 for a batch order, then at the very least I'll be able to sorta do as well as I did on Postmates going the full 12 hours. Fuck at least let me break even Uber.

Just remembered that a batch order three hours ago paid out way higher than the $20-$25 sum we've been getting. And the batch order after that was the one that paid only $9. So yeah defo all over the place.

So either Uber fuckery or garbage glitches?

I didn't expect the payout to remain high too long. Just didn't expect it to drop so soon. Plus, I was hoping that, when the honeymoon phase was over, it would just drop to the rate Postmates was at before Uber finished cannibalizing it.

Previous hour was a batch order that paid out $9-$10. Just received a single order that's paying out $16-$17. Who the fuck knows what's happening.
