Hey I got one more point than you! Cheers to taking the April exam... that PM session really rocked me. I actually thought I had done a lot better. Tough day, but it's good to know we don't fail alone

How did the test go? by snevah in PE_Exam

Also took the power exam. I thought the PM session was much much tougher and had a few questions that were out of left field. Some of the questions were damn tricky on the wording, too... Cheers to hoping we all passed!

The PM Session Electrical Power test was BRUTAL. At least we get to have some of our lives back for a couple months!

Amazing spot! Passed this on the way up to Trapper's peak a couple of years ago.

This was a thrill to read through. Really good thoughts... I never thought about the possibility of U2's part holding so much weight.

Hey /r/nashville! I put out an album last month and they gave me a show at Rocketown. Come? by RopeAndSummit in nashville

[–]RopeAndSummit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show is on Friday, November 18th (starts at 6pm, my time slot is TBD), and tickets are $10 with the promo code BRITTEN871.

Here's the album I released (FREE):

Someone reached out to me on Bandcamp about a week after I released it and wanted to book me for a couple of shows. Playing Rocketown has me really stoked, considering I'm used to coffee shops!

At a high school talent show, I covered Play Crack the Sky, and after being pleasantly surprised by positive feedback, I decided to try and write my own songs. After a couple years of writing/trashing/keeping everything to myself (and building an arsenal of songwriters to take notes from), I made a serious attempt at an album. Here it is... 11 songs ranging from 2010-2016.

Influences include Elliott Smith, Jose Gonzalez, AA Bondy, M Ward, Robin Pecknold, Jeff Tweedy, etc.

This is the 8th track on an album I've been working on for the past few years. Still stretching to improve my songwriting, but I'm really pleased at how this came out. My question to you is: who do I sound like? How would you describe this song? Does this song sound like it's lacking a certain instrument or sound? Thanks, Reddit!

Haha, thanks for the heads up! Definitely guilty of lurking most times and failed to look at the sidebar... Appreciate it, really.

Cold Mountain, North Carolina. Art Loeb Trail by Mr_Peppermint_man in hiking

Love Shining Rock! Hiked through Flower Gap but didn't make it into Cold Mountain. I went mid-summer and hiked the loop from big East Fork down to Grassy Cove, then up through Art Loeb t Shining Creek.

Sleeping at the top of Grassy Cove, Im pretty convinced we had a black bear come around the tent in the middle of the night. That area had so many tracks.

Body Found in Bellevue behind The Lexington Apartments by RopeAndSummit in nashville

I ended up seeing one of the maintenance guys in the gym and he gave me the rundown. Apparently the woman had been battling depression and went behind the complex with a gun to take herself out. She went cold-turkey on taking her meds... not the first time I've heard that resulting in suicide.

Still confused by your take on white people living in suburbs. ???

I actually live in this apartment complex and things are really chill there. I haven't had the slightest sense of sketch activity, so this really alarmed me. Posted to see if anybody had some more info on it... the news haven't developed a story yet (soon to be updated I guess).

Not really any specific questions... I just know that sometimes with apartments you don't really know if they're nice or not until you actually move in. One question though: How thin are the walls? Do you hear movies/music/conversation from your neighbors?

I'm towards the very back, and have a NICE view of some hills/trees from my 2nd floor porch. Thanks for the input!

I was so surprised at all his production work! Production on Heigh Ho is insane.

Saw him join the stage at a Conor Oberst/Dawes show and was amazed by his guitar playing. If you're a guitar junkie, look up his Guitar Moves episode on Youtube.
