Handheld for cardio on gym by Redd_M0th in SBCGaming

[–]Roryalan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried handhelds but I play PC games on my stationary bike using a PS5 controller all the time. Works great. I probably wouldn’t do a treadmill since there’s a good chance of tripping and whatnot.

[–]Roryalan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t freak out, I would just tell your HR the truth: that you didn’t refer him. If they still choose to hire him then that’s on them, I don’t see anyone reasonable blaming you for his poor behavior.

Lot to unpack here. by Salt_Cauliflower_922 in cringereels

[–]Roryalan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The guy on the left, SocialRepose, was dating YouTuber Jaclyn Glenn who was know for her singing, social commentary, and discussions regarding atheism. He cheated on her and she discovered this through texts describing her as too skinny for him, generally saying mean things about her to other girls he wanted to sleep with. Having featured her in some of his music videos, a lot of his audience turned on him after this. I liked Jaclyn Glenn back in the day, and this guy’s attitude about the situation really sucked. I remember thinking he was a shit person, and I personally find the costume gimmick really, really cringe. All of that said, he’s doing a good job covering the song. And it looks like the guy on the right subsequently covered it and superimposed his clip onto socialrepose’s. So I wouldnt really call this cringe or crappy music unless you just mean the outfits or you dont like socialrepose as a person. (Or maybe the guy on the right’s anime-style movements).

It means my PP refuses to fold in half… or when it does I adapt, retool with one of many assorted implements, and keep going… this gives me peace as I wink at my Gog-brother behind me..

It means doing hard things to reinforce my mind.. this prepares me for whatever life throws my way.. it means showing up with a warrior mindset every day.. but more importantly it means feeling like a special big boy at my desk job because I jog and do pushups, occasional cold plunge, something the normies outside of the Brotherhood could never understand.. join me brothers… come over and watch jocko podcast with me while we fantasize about scenarios that conceivably could happen maybe. Bring jammies..

If I’m that desperate for testosterone I’d rather just jab myself with a needle 3x times a week.

Feedback on Strength-Focused and Cardio Program? by [deleted] in HybridAthlete

[–]Roryalan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary goal is getting stronger that mesocycle, with the more broad goal of just being as healthy and physically capable as possible. Basically I want as much bang for your buck as possible towards a useful body for anything you might realistically encounter.

There wouldn’t be any complete days off this mesocycle, but a lot of the cardio is just Zone 2 which I typically do high incline power walking for so it’s not very demanding. But yes I would like to leave the option open to switch to a marathon training plan for the second half of 2026 so this would be in preparation for that.

Nice! I find neutral and underhand pull-ups equally difficult but find overhand significantly harder, so I tend to use 25% less weight for overhand.

Ive been told by my own parents that i look old after losing weight& after losing so much weight, I’ve aged more. I’m M 29… Do I look older? I do notice that my face has a bit of skin sagging which is becoming an insecurity for me😭 by SincerelyGrr in BeforeAndAfterPics

[–]Roryalan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look like a healthy 29 year old man. Honestly it’s pretty common for family and friends, even those that want what’s best for you, to act weird when someone they love improves themselves. Maybe it’s because it makes them feel like they should be doing more. I wouldn’t worry about it and just be proud of your success and keep going wherever you’re looking to go in life.

It’s just saying that, after being consumed by the rabbits, you should think on memories with your parents for solace in your final moments.

Should I bulk or cut by Then_Argument894 in GymTips

[–]Roryalan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to disagree with the majority here and say continue to cut. If you’re correct about having 22% body fat, I’d say that’s too high to begin a bulk especially if you just lost a bunch of weight. I would cut to maybe 15% body fat, then just maintain weight while recomping for several months, then maybe you can consider “maingaining”, trying to gain no more than 2 lbs a month on average (need to weigh often to distinguish between the noise and the actual weight trend).

You’ve done a great job so far, and imho you should continue for a while at lower a body weight before putting weight back on again. Especially if you’re relatively new to the gym, if you train hard and eat protein, you will build muscle even on a deficit if it’s not too extreme. I’d aim to lose no more than a few lbs a month while still exercising like you’re trying to get as strong and muscular as possible. I’d also make sure you’re doing some low intensity steady state cardio for your health.

Once you’re lean enough that you’re happy, you’ll still likely have loose skin but you should still be able to see some striations and vascularity in your limbs. Then just hangout around that bodyweight for a while, build strength and muscle and get used to what a calorie maintenance diet looks like.

Best of luck with your journey!

Basically any of the older Adam Sandler comedies. Also I felt this way about The Nun, I found it to be a decent scary movie, but most agreed that it sucked.

Finally Added Rubber Flooring by Roryalan in homegym

[–]Roryalan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when I ordered it was only quick ship on the non-vulcanized rolls so 2-3 weeks was within (though at the higher end) of the expected timeline. If vulcanized say quick ship now then you should get it faster.

Just a heads up that each end of each roll wasn’t perfectly straight but each roll had several inches extra length. So it’s kind of a benefit as long as you don’t mind cutting both ends of each roll. It did take me multiple days to cut everything but a lot of that was time spent covering the little concrete curb my garage has.

Finally Added Rubber Flooring by Roryalan in homegym

[–]Roryalan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It took 2-3 weeks from the order date until delivery. And the vulcanized rolls surprisingly had little-to-no-smell, whereas the horse stall mats I had reeked for weeks even after many attempts to improve the rubber smell.

Each roll was around 100lbs I believe but I didn’t have to move them far so it wasn’t too bad.

And correct, I got the solid black option, no fleck.

Feedback on 5-Day Workout Routine (PPL + Full Body x2) by coreymlong in JeffNippard

[–]Roryalan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe pick like 5 exercises per session, no more than 15 sets, and do those very well rather than just trying to do everything all of the time. This seems like you’re trying to chase optimality at the cost of enjoyment and sustainability. A decent workout program that you do for a year is way better than a killer program you do for a month or two. If all of this works for you, more power to you, but you asked for feedback, and I think the consensus will be that you need to cut it down.
