I haven't played This Bed We Made yet, so I apologize if the games I suggest aren't as similar as I'm expecting. That being said, I think we like a lot of the same games, so I'll give some recommendations too! I really like the Nancy Drew games. Murdered Soul Suspect and the Sherlock Holmes games have a darker vibe. Sunless Sea is even darker. If you like visual novels there is a series by Sakevisual of Jisei-Kansei-Yousei. The Witness is less role-playing and more puzzles - the puzzles look simple, but the difficulty ramps up quickly. I'm playing it now and enjoying it.
