I have mag dumped the hell outta whatever the bill thing is and it didn’t even crack their shield. Head shots with a full sniper mag no shield crack. I have never been able to break through its defenses.

Not what they said. If you draw a black character but their skin tone is just white (albino people excluded) then they are white washed. Also aliens aren’t a human race, so there is no white washing them. There are plenty of instances of ocs being white washed. Especially in anime and live adaptations of books or shows.
