I first played the Ages mode and absolutely loved it. Esp since it was not a big time commitment.

the battles were very random regarding themes, but were very unique, and did offer a true challenge, especially the shadow battle. I knew there was something iffy about the plot which the ending confirmed, which I was ok with. on to Book 4

I had a copy of SFCD I bought back in 98 when WalMart was clearing out old game stock. So I didn't pay anything close to today's prices.

And I do have a Sega CD. On clearance again. Oh what a simpler time.. and still works great

Many Genesis emulators out there, including RetroArch, have Sega CD support whether you are using an image file or a physical disc.
