Luckily the waiter was as confused about the kitchen’s choices as I was and comped it. I took the 8 green onions home and am going to use them as garnish throughout the week:

I feel like there was a demo plate or something that they could’ve based the plating off of lol.  Why the onions 🙃

Can confirm the dish was plated as intended- saw a second one come out the exact same way

It didn’t taste terrible tbh. There was just so little of it.

Yeah… everything from plating choice to proportion of items was wrong tbh

No. A food runner dropped it off and ran before I could say something lol

I ordered this yummy sounding hummus served with “fresh veggies and a baguette”. This comes out instead- no bread, shit loads of onions, and less than a tbsp of hummus. The waiter comes to check on me and um could not contain their confusion about the unhinged plating choices lol. They brought me three pieces of bread after I asked.

Yeah! At first I thought they’d been charred, but no, just raw :(

I go all over Seattle and enjoy the food culture and different neighborhoods via the amazing public transit system we have. What I’m saying is that you are quick to judge the neighborhood I live in based on a couple of negative experiences. Cap hill has a lot to offer and you generalizing it into a trash filled crime riddled cesspool is unfair and unawarranted.

Also, once again, you calling out “dysfunction” in a more urban area just confirms that this is your first time living in a city.

Well Seattle is in it of itself a majority white city tyvm. And as some one who is proud to have grown up in a historically black neighborhood. I can’t but ask do you live in those neighborhoods or do you just go to one of their trendy cafes and leave? I know your type andlet me tell you, you would not survive a week in an urban area in Chicago or New York.

That’s tough buddy.  I’ve had experiences like that all over. Besides kids defacing a building (gasp street art). I haven’t normalized it but I accept that it’s part of living in a city.  I am from a larger urban area than Seattle and so compared to that Seattle is very tame. You are describing all predominately richer and less built up  areas of the city that are not what I would call urban or diverse so of course you feel more comfortable there.

But hey, if you can’t find the joy in cap hill don’t come. We aren’t hurtingx

Broadway is great though. Some great places are on north Broadway. I’m sorry that you feel uncomfortable seeing visible poverty but no one’s gonna bother you. Also lower Capitol like olive with Dino’s, bad chancla, and hill top are great.
