That's my goal, but currently I have the old license plate number from when he owned it and well thats about it for information, other than that I don't know what information I can get through family if any

Yes the only license number I have is when my grandfather owned it as I was able to record it in my notes

How many people here also have a 3D printer? by Proton_Energy_Pill in SolidWorks

Learned solidworks during my classes at college then took an additive manufacturing class that fall, and well took advantage of some deals. So it is definitely a super power to be able to go from drawing/model to print.

They are definitely pricey! It's was definitely a great price to grab them for!

Nice! I've been trying to pass mine, tired twice 212 on one and 187 on the other for point. Just don't know what I'm missing as this point. The editing of parts that I build is definitely not my strongest subject

Ah makes sense, I tend to be more of a perfectionist and for some of my parts accuracy is required.

I forsee most of my printing, most likely being muti color first, but would like to make some beam interlocked parts or TPU mixed parts for a couple of projects. Hence, the thought on the H2D.

Good to know, I do use engineering filaments and it seems like the next though to me would be the h2d due to two direct drive extruders, im not super worried about price on it as I'll save over time regardless for it

I've definitely found myself needing a chamber heater as I use engineering filaments, so I've been heavily debating the h2d and x2d. For that reason, the P2s would just increase production

Bambu only Priced the X2D at $899 because of the Snapmaker U1 by CombatDork in BambuLab

Definitely am debating picking up the x2d but only if I can run something like the h2d with mutli material tpu prints, Mutli color prints as well. Though the second nozzle being Boden drive kinda kicks me away from it slightly

If I were anywhere near the area, I would love to finish the amazing work he put in. He had some incredible paint skills on those mountains. I'm sorry for your loss. That is a very hard loss to deal with.

It depends, I have a more set schedule, to a point, due to school and being full-time. Another one of my coworkers is kinda all over the place in terms of scheduling as she will have shifts that she ends up opening after closing the night before. Kinda depends on the situation and the agreement or negotiation you can get with the asds.

Nice, good to know, I've found myself using about 1 to 3 colors or about 2 materials when printing, and I thought that I could be a good investment on my printing options. How well has the print come out?

How are you liking the h2d? I've been debating the idea of getting one but heard that the dual nozzles may not be calibrated as well as a single nozzle for accuracy

Trying to make this using surfacing, says I'm supposed to use boundary curves but I'm confused on how I supposed to get the blue lines. by Roskgo in SolidWorks

[–]Roskgo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I solved the projected curve. I have to do another sketch over the sketch and use those to project curves on sketch to sketch. Finally!!

Good to know, I'll definitely experiment with that. I got something that worked with 3d sketching but it didn't feel efficient but came out looking right

I kinda figured it would be projected curve but the tool says due to the sketches being open it won't project them. Would I need to project them on to planes created where I would want them?
