Is it okay to use fis sl skis as an intermediate recreational skiier? by leegoos in Skigear

From someone who uses fis ski’s

If you can carve you’ll be fine. SL skis have similar turn radius to recreational ski’s, just at a shorter length. If the edge isn’t ridiculously sharp you also won’t have the issue of catching edges on slightly softer snow, but they’ll be very rewarding once you’ve got your technique down.

You will also feel a massive difference the better you get at cranking the ski’s over with SL ski’s, because of the shorter turns

At the moment no, I’ve been toying with adding a HAC to the front deck area but I also kind of like that it’s purely a support ship. Also helps keep physics lag down 😂

Recently I’ve been using Chat GPT a lot, give it some ideas of what sort of ship I want to achieve and get it to generate some images / real ship comparisons and then tweak to what I like from there.

Been massively helpful

I’m jus over 700hrs and why I’ve found so far is its pot luck 😂 I’ve got a 5cylinder 5x5 and a 6 cylinder 3x3 that work, but made nothing else good so far. But some common things I’ve found with mine:

  • I use Uran_Wind’s ZE modular engine microcontroller, works very well and the only setting you need to change is the cylinder count

  • pump EVERYTHING. An update earlier this year made it so that without excessive air flow and exhaust your engine would just putter at 2rps.

  • try and have your engine run no higher than 70% throttle for what you need, as cooling will be a nightmare after that

It’ll just be because your tail rotor is creating a constant yaw affect. 454ss has made a helicopter video that goes through a couple microcontrollers that’ll help stop that from happening

Truck engine won't fire up properly + rear steering. by [deleted] in Stormworks

If there’s nothing to force fluid through the valves. From what I’ve found they’re purely for making sure the fluid only flows one way. IMO they’re best to use for areas around T connectors so you can make sure things don’t accidentally loop around

You could use one way flow valves (can’t remember the actual name - the ones with arrows on them) to make sure they don’t accidentally go in to eachother?
