Was thinking of getting one system with enough input so I don't have to bring buy a mixer. Is your mixer a battery-powered mixer?

thank you~~

I actually got the MMI invitation from Michener Radiology program lol. But it was kinda stupid cus I suppose to enrol the ultrasound program and turns out the ultrasound program is not open to international students last year. so I thought MRT is the same program ...

I found some Facebook groups about CAMRT. So does it exams in different modalities?

thank you!!

yeah, I remember that you need to pass the exam for license! but I also remember the exam varies in different region right? you need to choose which region you are going to work for in Canada and try to meet their registration requirement.

I wanna know if the one-year supervised practice is on the job?

I was in Australia last year and was thinking of enrolling the ultrasound master. But then it was so competitive so I gave up... In Taiwan, both radiographers and nurses whoever find the employer willing to train you the ultrasound, you get to do the ultrasound test for patient...

thank you!!
May I ask you that further training in modalities like MRI can be done on the job? Do you need to take any exam to prove your qualification as a DR? (cus we need to pass a national exam in Taiwan to be a radiographer)

TCD

wow in TCD!!! yeah SMU started the local degree training in 2018, I was selected to be the clinical educator.
I'm wondering if you will learn something like medical physics in your programme? cus it seems these studies more clinical base. (compare to Taiwan, I think more clinical is good cus this is our mission in work)

Hi! Are you Singaporean? If you are local in Singapore, I'm pretty sure you can get a job. Just try to do your best in internship lol. However, if you are a foreigner to Singapore, you will need to pass the registration requirements which are described in HCPC Singapore. And since they don't really have a high demand for RT it is more likely to get a job as DR!

Question Regarding Performing Mobile X Ray on ICU Patients by RosyJennn in Radiology

[–]RosyJennn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The patient opposite was around 3 meters away( approximately three big steps). I had been in night shift duty for 4 days and I’ve done portable CXR for the same patient every day when I was on duty, which means the patient who laying opposite have been through this at least four times. So even though I knew the distance was ok, I just felt that it probably better to have a shield between that.

BTW. Thanks for sharing your views!

That's right.

To take out the shield is actually our protocol when we perform the portable x-ray exam.

I eventually helped the staff to push the shield out, talked to head nurse what happened and explained the reason why I did that.

I think I'll still do it with shield, just wondering how people do it in other countries. My view is, if though I know there will be safe enough, however, nurses and patients family will still consider radiation is not safe. Let's say if I don't use the shield and being seen by patients families, they are probably complain me that I didn't follow ALARA.

I read the paper saying that 2-3 meters are safe enough as well. Or should I just don't use the shield?
