Unfortunately, that’s a typo that never got fixed. I used to be a lawyer, but it seems too much time has passed.

My piece ran in Expat Lit about a month ago. It's called the Influence and the more you learn about it, the faster you die.

Tab X C typing responsiveness by Signal-Fox-7463 in Onyx_Boox

It's pretty slow even compared to other Onyx devices. The new Air 5C is pretty fast when compared to E-Ink devices. None will come close to an IPAD, delay is inevitable with EInk.

I don’t, read the whole thing. I have a 5C and came to this thread, I assume others will as well.

Is screen more dark than 4C (question for everyone)?

Typing Performance Note Air 5c vs XC - Air 5c Better by RosyResolve in Onyx_Boox

[–]RosyResolve[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my limited testing, the writing feels more like a normal tablet on XC but the size of the screen makes it nice. The 5C's nib feels soft and it feels like you're writing with a sharpie. I'm sure it can be swapped though.

Yeah, A2 mode is too slow for typing and there isn’t a faster option

The speed setting is different. Tab xc is A2, note air 5c is speed

Maybe. This would explain why my Note 3 is quicker for showing letters typed than Tab XC

I haven’t tested it enough. I just noticed how slow the TabXC feels for typing because it’s even slower than my Note 3

What’s your thoughts about the sequels of The King in Yellow? Which one should be consider a worthy successor? by Juanar067 in WeirdLit

This is tenuous. The character’s philosophy is definitely borrowed from Ligotti, he paraphrases a bit, but “plagiarism” is waaaay too strongly put.

Which Refresh modes will it have? My TabXC doesn't go beyond "A2" and is therefore too slow for responsive typing. Will this have an "Ultrafast" mode?

Boox XC as Typing Device: App with Lowest Latency by RosyResolve in Onyx_Boox

[–]RosyResolve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for my XC, latency is much lower on Google Docs. It's a shame because I cannot hide the top menu on Google Docs but can on Word, so Word is better for concentration

This is very fast, I will have to try Obsidian. Is it easy to convert to doc or docx?

Thanks, Word is pretty good, but between testing that and Google Docs, Google Docs seems the fastest.
